Ok so i had really bad cramps today i thought i was gona DIE..but they went aaway after about an hour or so..but it scared me so i went into a walk-in and I was more please with the outcome then from what MY doctor gave me. They said i shouldve been swabbed on my follow up appt to make sure there was no infection. So they took swabs And did a blood test And gave me an ultrasound appt to be 100% everything is fine. my blood test results will come bak in 3 days, my swab test for infection in about a week..and my ultrasound appt is not until july 15 so 2 weeks from now..i will keep all you posted..thanks for all the support.

It's amazing how sometimes going into a walkin clinic is the best decision you can make! Yeah there's something going on here with you! I don't think it's REALLY bad or anything like that, but he definitely should have took the bloody time to check you out fully. There is always chances of infection after a surgical abortion and/or leaving tissue behind - which would cause the infection. So he really missed the boat on this. You have us on here saying "Yep get an ultrasound!" and then someone who should know better not doing it!! You should find out pretty quickly. Now IF you get those pains again, I want you to go to the hospital, IF you have to I want you to have when and where you had the swab and blood test. Because IF you do end up going to the hospital they can contact the lab and get the results right awya. The reason why they say 3 days if they do the test right away, then they have to do it up, and then send it or fax it to the doctors. But the tests are always done right away. Within several hours - depending on where the actual lab is. Tell them that you are booked in for an ultrasound etc. and what has happened. So I will keep my fingers crossed and DON'T take now for an answer OK? You know your body, you know that something's up and you demand better OK? It really sounds to me like you should go to another doctor if they said that he SHOULD be doing things he wasn't doing. Do you agree? I definitely think it'd be a good idea to switch to a doctor who actually listens.

i kno i feel so much better, i mean i kno i still have things to take care of with all this but since i took all the proper tests, my mind is settled for now and now im jus waitin for the results and to do my ultrasound which i wish was sooner but at least im doin one regardless. I dont feel hot or ill or naustious at all..even wen i get the cramps..its jus the cramps, no other pain or sickness to it so i guess thats ok..but still i kno my body and ur right i kno when something is just not right. I have a question though. I kno when ur pregnant it takes about 21 days for the pregnancy hormone to be detected in a HPT and about 7 days if you do a blood test..but im jus wondering, for when i do my ultrasound..if all other tests come bak negative..they will be able to see sumthing in the ultrasound right like if i was pregnant or not 100% sure. And for exmaple, hypotheically speaking, lets say i had sex on a friday..and my ultrasound was on wed and i happen to concieve on that friday..would you be able to see sumthin inthe ultrasound?..im just curious?..me an my boyfirend stopped havin intercourse unprotected now until all this gets sorted through..but i was still just wondering..

Ya i agree. but the thing is this was my doctor for when i had my first child..he's been my obsetrician/gynocologist for 4 years now..so it kinda shocked me that certain stuff slipped his mind because hes been good in the past. so im defintalty gona have a talk with him the next time i go in.

Yeah, at the very least, it would be worth your while to talk to him about it. I know that doctors forget stuff at times but it seemed like a big thing for him to mess up so I hope that it's just a temporary lapse. Just remember that if he's not helpful that you CAN always leave and don't take no guff, okay? ;)

Hi hon: The Friday - Wednesday thing would be way to early, it takes upto 5 days for the fertilized egg to attach to the womb. So it would still be going down the Falopian tubes or just getting bedded in! And remember you CAN see an egg with the naked eye, but not an ultrasound! Heck I saw my 1st sons ultrasound at 24 weeks and thought his arm was his willy!!!!! ;-) XD So them seeing a dot this . big on a black and white ultrasound inside a thick lining would be impossible! THAT said, they can see which side you ovulated from and if the egg has been released. Both my boys were due on the same day!!! And their egg came from the same side. So obviously one side was more fertile than the other. Honest hon, I do want you to wait till all this is figured out OK? It would be awful for you if something was going on and you found out you were pregnant, and they were trying to solve the other stuff.
Also I can't help but keep thinking that you MIGHT be pregnant!!! I just keep thinking it, I don't want to make your hopes go up! BUT I really do! And perhaps the swelling is from that I don't know. But IF you are, the ultrasound will DEFINITELY show that. But you never know. So just keep us updated and I hope you don't have anymore pains.

Ok so i gota a call back from the clinic last night..which surprised me because they said the blood results takes 3 days so i was just gona call them today and the swab one week so this thursday..but they called me yesterday already and said the docotr wants to speak to me and if i can come in tomoro (today)..and i kno that if the clinic calls YOU then sumthin is defintely up. Anyways just thought i woudl update everyone since u all have been so great and supporitve. Im gona head to the clinic right after work and see whats up. It can either be one of 2 results..im pregnant again OR i have an infection of sum sort..so cross your fingers its result #1 lol.

OK SO...i went to the clinic and, my swab tests came bak CLEAN so thers no infections i have to worry about. THANK GOD cuz that was my biggest concern. My blood test came back. and using the doctors words he said " your levels are bizarre because they're showing a really low level of possible pregnancy". so he said its either because of my past prengnacy that the hormone is still in my system or i could be pregnant again. so we took another blood test and have to wait 2-3 days AGAIN, ugh..and see wut the levels are..if they'r eveen lower then most likely im not pregnant and the hormone will go away once the levels get down to zero, if the levels are higher then this time then im probably pregnant. And so, im waiting again, another 2-3 days for my next blood test results.

So i thought i would update all my concerned and thoughtful advisors in my matter.
i had my ultrasound appt last week and got my results bak on Monday. Everything about my surgey (abortion) was successful so nothin was left behind of that sort..they didtnt detect anythin in terms of pregnancy. However, they said that they found a small cyst on my right ovary. SO they said they will book another ultrasound in a months time (mid-Aug) to see the status of the cyst, if it went away on its own which usually is the case or if its growing then i'll have to get it removed. The weird thing is they said the cyst is on my RIGHT ovary and ive been gettin pains on my LEFT side since my surgery..SO they are booking a cat scan at the hosptial for me to see whats goin on with that. I also took ANOTHER blood test to check my pregnancy level status and a urine test which i shud get back tomorow.
(ya my life jus keeps gettin better n better :-(

Hi hon: Sorry to hear about all that, but I want you to know that MANY women have cysts on their ovaries - it can be controlled. Also your pain on your left side, could be that this is the side that is more fertile! I know that sounds whacky, but the side that hurt me the most is the side I conceived from with both of my children. So perhaps you conceived from your left! I will never understand what is taking these guys so long to get the results back! A urine test is immediate, and basicallyt he same for a blood test - they are both looking for the same hormones!!
