Can anyone tell me how long after having my tonsils out before I'm pain free, had mine done 10 days ago and still have pain when swallowing, I also have bad earache.
I think it took me three weeks before I was ok, not good but ok. I think the 3 week mark is when I was able to swallow without a ton of pain. Just know the end is NEAR! I remember how painful that recovery was, you won't regret it later!! :-) good luck!
Thanks for the reply, was actually back at my doctor's surgery today and I have a really bad ear infection due to the surgery....in so much pain now:(
I'm so sorry to hear that you have an actual earache. I was going to say that the ache that you feel in your ear is not normal because the pain should not be overlapping like that, but it seems that you've already gotten help. I'm sure it will feel better soon and you'll have recovered from this soon enough. Keep us posted.
Ear is a little better today, been over 24 on my antibiotic so don't feel too bad now, also have strong pain killers, throat still quite sore, 12 days since surgery, still hurts to eat, and also my taste buds seem to have gone funny...all food tastes the same, really bland....anyone any ideas??
Hi my name is Domonique Aand i just wanted to ask you a ? bout your tonsils and your ear..... I just got mines out Thrusday and so that makes 7 days for me today and my right ear hurts so badly that i can't take it i have this really really sharp and always there pain in my ear... Did your feel like that? PLEASE ANSWER BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my tonsils out 5 days ago and my god I'm in agony! It's the jaw and ear ache that is the worst! Is this normal?
I got my tonsils removed 41 days ago and still having pain, especially at night and when swallowing. How long does it take for the pain to stop? I'm 54 years old.
