How long could you stay away from your computer given normal circumstances (i.e. no vacation, computer working properly, etc)?
I think I could last about 2 days and then I'd have to check my email. :)

No more than 12 hours ever. I'm gettin' all shaky just thinkin' about it. <shudder>
I've tried to ignore it in the mornings......can't do it....
I guess I will find out... My pc has to get a new hard drive.... :(
I cannot ignore the computer during school because I always have something to write or research. I use it at work too, so no escaping it there.
We're about to find out though how long I can go without it at home, since I'm taking the tower in to work tomorrow to let the boys open her up and either adjust the fan setting or put in an additional one. My processor temp gets too high and we cannot do much more than basic stuff. I can only tranfer songs from CDs one at a time, then let it rest because that causes alarms to go off. It's quite a PITA, nevermind that it might ruin the processor. I really should have found someone better to build this machine. :x

Vacation: A good long time. I could go without one easily if needed.
At home: Unfortunately, not long.
At work: The same. I use it a lot to type up worksheets, communicate with parents, send letters home, homework instructions. Next year I'm going to put all my grades into a grading program on the computer and I'll need it every day for sure.

it's hard for me. i normally see my friends online, and lets accept the fact that calling people just to talk about nothing isn't what it used to be.
but i lasted about two weeks of coming home and not getting on my computer until after i had exercised and napped. then my projects got busy again.

I use my computer all the time because I don't have much else better to do. I've done without internet for a summer though. Might do it again starting in august.
Not very long. I love logging in to see if I got emails, PM's here and I check a couple of other sites.
