how long does suboxone stay in your body/stay active?

It does show up if they test for it. The drug that gives you the "high" effect is buprenorphine which is a schedule II narcotic. It is not an artificial opiate. I know this because I have been taking it prescribed from a clinic now for the past eight months.

I am a pro on suboxone. Suboxone is not like and opiod or methadone. You do not have withdrawls from this drug. It is an antagonist drug and when you take it, no opiode will work. It will also make you nauseated if taken with opiodes. They will not work whatsoever. In order for them to work. You can take opiodes 24hrs. You must wait this long for an opiode to work. Also unlike methodone, which you have withdrawls with; you do not have them with suboxone.

Well I took 4 mg of sub @ 6:00pm yesterday. & I just shot 4mg of dalidid just now n felt it as if I didn't even take the sub. I think it's every1 body chemistry is diff. & depends how long u have been taking subs. I only use subs when I can score & I'm dope sick.

No withdraw from Subs??? Apparently you have never tried getting off of them. It is hell on earth! The opiate withdraw was nothing compared to getting off Subs...and that was after weaning for months. You are not a pro..trust me.

I agree that suboxone saves lives if I hadn't started this treatment I don't know were I would be today! As for people who only use suboxone or subutex when they can't get what they want, it makes me sick, I was on a waiting list for 4 months to be put on suboxone and it was the worst 4 months of my life!!!! I called that Dr everyday to see if I was even close to getting in and all around me were these people that were seeing this same Dr and selling there suboxone and buying opiates all the time!!! If it wasn't for people like them more people could be getting help out there instead of having to wait on a damn waiting list

They do have a way to detecy the buprenorphine its a special test thats not on a normal drug test its exspenive so they only test for it if they suspect you are taking or are on a sub clinic know from exp..

Hey I took a 8mg sub this morning then for some reason Idk y I shot 2 bags of heroine I felt the initial rush of shooting but the high wasn't there. That was about 8 hours apart and the sub still blocked it. I hope this helps you and I wish you luck..

U out of your mind? A suboxone withdrawal is like 100 times worse than a perk withdrawal you def get sick from not taking subs been on em for years so dont know what your a pro at

Most of you don't know what you are talking about, All your individual experiences and advice is not helpful when you can't even SPELL Suboxone, or opiate or opiod. You should deal with an ADDICTIONOLIGIST. Period and not take the advice that most of the drug addicts are offering. I know because I am in recovery for 15yrs and got off 15 to 20 Lortab and 17 to 20 Somas a day by going into Rehab at Ridgeview in Atlanta GA., for 10 days. They start you off with Buprenorphene IM and then your addictionologist will start you on Suboxone. I was on Suboxone for years and started at 32mgs. per day and finally down to 2mgs a day, then down to 1 for a couple of weeks and that was it. I do know that going cold turkey off Suboxone will put you into withdrawals. Yes, you DO have withdrawals from it so don't listen to the id**t who said you don't. You are hurting each other if you are following the advice of anybody on this forum. Share your experience but know that it is YOUR experience and doesn't apply to everyone. I repeat. You need to be asking a professional these things. And learn to spell

Um they said it only shows up on a specific test for subutex. It does not show up on standard ones which is exactly the case.

I'm on day five of detox from taking subutex for 2 years. I just cold turkeyed 6 Mgs. I'm not dying yet but imcertainly not comfortable.

I have mutiple problems like nueromuscular scoliosis slip disks bursitis in my hips and only 30 yrs old. Now used to be addidicted to all opiates till realized they really don't help just ruining my life..so now I take any where from 6 to 8 tramadol a day which helps not the solutio but helps now when I run outi get an 8mg strip from a friend to help tied me over so I don't go thru w/d or a methadone so that's why I was wantin to know how long I should wait after the strip to take the dones. I'm on the streets looking for drugs just trying live man.
