i just did and i got no rush but i can feel the relax feeling of the herion so it blocks it too a point but you still get some it just may take a few shots to over come the subs in your body. i been on subs for three to four days heavy use so in a sence i wasted forty bucks or atleast did not get what i wanted out of it. I think its more in my head that i wanted the dope than really needing it. Subs got me through but i still have my love for opiates.

your exactly correct . A week ago I went in for my first pain clinic appointment thinking they will never know i took suboxone. a week later , the women from the clinic calls me to tell me that there was an inconsistancy with my urinje test . I said impossibable ! she then proceeded to tell me there was suboxone levels that showed up in my urine . So ..... maybee it wont show up when your probation officer asks you to pee in a cup , which by the way , it didn't, however , it sure as hell did at the pain clinic . So .... it depends on the type of test !

I don't understand why you stay on Suboxone for so long. You're really changing one addiction to another. You still need it every day. Why not get off and really live life on life's terms. This is coming from an addict who did a rapid detox with subutex and then naltrexone. The whole thing lasted about 3-4 days. You can do it.

Yes they do have a way of detecting it it just depends on how many panels the drug test has. I have taken a drug test before and failed for suboxone so I know for a fact it CAN be detected!!

No hes right about that and i do know for sure. Unless the test specifically tests for opiates for a broad range of opiates or unless they test for beuprenorphine it wont show up

So, this subject seems to fit my situation.

Here's what happened.

Like many, I moved from oxy's to heroin due to cost and availability.

I was on H for a year, my best guess. Tried to quit, but the withdrawals were awful.

Tried Suboxone, took it too early, worst W/D ever!

It has been 3 weeks since using any H.

Got some methadone pills, took them for about 6 days (40mg max a day).

Then had 3.5 8mg strips of Suboxone.

Took my last half of a strip 8 days ago. I am still experiencing W/Ds.

Anyone have a guess as to when I will be done with the W/Ds?

I hate them so much. Cold sweats, low energy, foggy head, shot nerves in legs and arms.

Taking vitamins, trying to walk, lot's of baths, drinking a ton of water.....

Good freaking grief, this should be done.

Half life is 12-72 hours, some literature says 12-48 hours. This means that If you have 36mg in your system, it will take anywhere between 12 hours and 3 full days to drop down to 18mg, another 12 to 72 hour period to drop down to 9mg, continuing in the same pattern.

Speaking less theoretically, buprenorphine and it's metabolites are often undetectable in the urine and feces after just 11 days, though it could take longer.

One way to help speed up the detox process and get withdrawal over with faster is to activate the cytochrome P450 system, which can be done with nicotine, alcohol, or St. John's Wort. Do not use regularly (unless you are already), but once every couple days for a week. If none of these are an option, ibuprofen would also work, but taking it regularly could actually extend withdrawal by competition, so be sure to limit usage to once every few days, a single 600-800mg dose.

I don't know where these people are getting their info.!  Biological half-life indicates how long it takes the normal average body to reduce (through any and all biological functions) the QUANTITY of the said substance to 1/2 the original absorbed dose.  You have to figure out first what the absorbtion average is of the drug according to how it is ingested, i.e. intravenus, oral, etc.  The half-life is how long it takes the body to reduce the amount actually absorbed  to 1/2 of that amount.  Simple.  The 50% figure is that 50% of the population can expect these numbers to apply.  BTW, if you take the time to read the insert you will see that suboxone has a biological half-life of up to 105 hours!  Now given that the normal drug thresholds tested for are usually between 7 and 8 half-lives, you will come to see that the narcotic in Suboxone can most probably be detected up to 28-30 days.  It's all in the math.  Be careful.
