Hi I’m just looking for some advice today during class I started my period for the first time I was prepared and went to the toilets and put on a pad however when I was sitting on the floor my best friend saw under my school skirt and at lunch asked me why I had paper in my knickers should I close my legs when I’m in class

Firstly you did the right thing putting a pad on and well done for being so calm.
There isn’t any reason for you to close you’re legs when sitting if you don’t want to, skirts roll up all the time when you sit down so in you’re case this may have happened and if you’re best friend was sitting across from you then she may have just noticed and not seen someone wearing a pad before.
My daughter had this issue once while in the playground at the local park I noticed when she was going down the slide her pad was very visible but she didn’t mind and no one else seemed to bat an eyelid so I let her continue.
All in all you did nothing wrong and you’re friend may have been curious to know what it was in your knickers you don’t have to tell her but if you want to just say you’re growing up and I have a pad on as a girl bleeds for a few days every month and it’s called a period.

Hi I’m the OP thanks I’m just going to keep doing what I was doing and if some one sees my pad they see my pad it makes me feel proud to know I didn’t do anything wrong
OMG OMG I have this issue too I was in class and I dropped my pen and one of the boys saw up my school dress and said why do you have toilet paper in your undies but I was honest and said it’s a pad I’m on my period
Hi don't worry about this you're friend may have not got her period yet and was just asking as she's never seen a sanitary pad in someones underwear before.
