In cats, these spines trigger female ovulation. In other mammals they may perform a sensory function, and research has shown that the increased sensory stimulation they provide may increase the chance of successful mating.

I've had fordyce spots for years. In earlier posts some of you (especially the virgins) were freaking out about these spots. News flash: women have them too. There's probably a good chance when you do sleep with a girl she'll have them too and she'll be just as self concious. I don't think there's a good way to get rid of them other than the laser treatment. Do you really want a laser on your privates? Ouch.

I have had these since I was 14, I am now 22. Their appearance is less now however still obvious. I have slept with 3 women, 2 in a constant relationship and 1 in an open relationship. I was like you guys when I was a virgin. I was nervous. I have not had a single comment about them. It seems more guys than you realise have them. This was particularly noticed in the open relationship where pretty much every guy she had been with had them to some level. I wouldn't worry about them. You will realise after your first time that women do not care.

You are talking only about PPP here right? and not fordyce spots? can you use that same toothpaste treatment to lessen the appearance of fordyce spots? i have them on my penis , tiny ones but alot of them, im worried that a girl whos kind of been around and has been with guys who dnt have them and i hook up wit her and i have them.. she will think there not normal and would rather get with a guy who duznt have them. Fortunately i have a rather big penis haha so im not that worried. but does that tooth paste trick work for fordyce spots??

Well guys, I'm 23 now and I've had them since I was around 15.

I can rely on what you all say here on the forum, lived through the same fears etc.

Now on a Dutch forum (I'm from Belgium) I read a post of someone where he says that in a clinic in Achen he had been succesfully treated.

the link of the forum with the post is http://www.medischforum.nl/onderwerp/1197/40/ The name of the poster is "Peter1234"

there you can find the link of the clinic www.plastische-chirurgie.ukaachen.de

Has anyone had any experience with this clinic? He also says that the treatment costs about 2750 euro (!)

I'm 16, have had them quite a while now. I was worried once but not so much now, THERE ARE MORE MEN THAT HAVE THEM THAN THOSE WHO DON'T (90% is a pretty common figure). Most people just dont know they're there. They're most common in young men and start from puberty, theyre just lil spots of oil, no harm. Girls dont even notice them, a string of Girlfriends has proven that. And anyway, ur part of the majority! Girls are more likely to have seen them before than not. Nothing to worry about. x

Hey guys. I think i've had them for 3 years now, currently at the age of fifteen. These little bumps piss me off like no other, so ive decided to take action. First, i tried scrubbing it with soap for a half hour, it seemed to make them less noticable but i would NOT recomend it, it causes some to bleed >:( I also tried to use a wart remover i found at the store, that worked tremendously for a time, but it hurt like no other, so i stopped this treatment. I have somewhat bad acne and am on differin, i've used this on the spots and it seems to be peeling and working. I would really try accutane though, i've heard great things from that! :-D So anyway guys, don't worry about these bumps, girls have come down on me many times and not one has said a word! - Turning the lights off also works too, they'll never see it! BUTT if anyone has another way of clearing them, LET ME KNOW. these things are a real b****

I just want to let your guys know that u can treat these with co2 laser i know of 3 people who have had good results from laser treatment. It can be costly $2000-$5000 depending on amount of treatments. So if your that anxious about them look into co2 treatment

Im 17 and had these fuckers for years. I just got a girlfriend whos 16. We havnt done anything yet but definatly soon. Maybe even tonight. Im so happy i know what the f**k these pieces of sh*t are. Ive passed up so much sexual oppurtunities over the years. Theve ruined my teenage experience. Ive actually had girls ask to suck my penis and ive had to come up with some excuse because im scared sh*tless. Still am. Ima try acne cream. I really need mine to at least fade because i dont think me and my girl wilkl have sex for a while but i think shell go down on me soon and she might see em. Ill make sure a light switch is handy. I dont know what to do if she notices them :-( I just hope she doesnt hit the hills coz i like her soo much.
This forum has been so useful. So glad im not the only one suffering from this stupid f*****g thing. Does anyone know the stats of how many guys have these mother fuckers?

Its funny how something can seem so serious and threatening when its unknown. I'm 20 and have had this since I was 11-12, and before finding out what they were I sabotaged every chance I had of sexual relations in fear of being ridiculed. Eventually I just stopped going out to parties as I was seriously depressed and anxious.

Knowing these days what it is (and importantly what it isn't), just makes me regret lost time and opportunities.

Hey guys - I found this topic through google researching a completely different issue. However, all this concern over what girls will think made me want to reply.

I am a 24/f in NY and I just want to say - Don't worry. If you find someone who loves you, she'd never look at you the wrong way. She'd understand. If she doesn't, she must not love you that much and you're better off without her. Whatever these little spots are you have, don't let them effect your life. Live the way you want. I can say honestly, if my boyfriend had them, I wouldn't care. I love him with, or without little bumps on his penis. :-) :-D

I am 33 and have had these for at least 15 years. Im sorry to report they have become more visible over time so i dont know about all these fading away posts. Lucky people maybe? They are on my lips and on my penis(shaft, head and foreskin) and frankly they are the bane of my existence. I have been to at least 5 dermatologists about this and last time i got some cream to try that might minimize their appearance but i havent even tried it. They said they dont recommend performing any kind of laser treatment on them because the color of the condition is hard for a laser to pick up (too close to skin color). I would still like to have them surgically treated but after 5 dermatologists im starting to run out of people to go to for the same old opinion as always (theyre normal) yeah my ass they are! Although i will say that i have had sex and people have either not noticed them or not cared and the ones on my lips most people are like what are you talking about when they are very visible to me (paranoid maybe). Good luck to anyone that has to deal with this f*****g nightmare.
