guys I really think it's the food. I've had that for a year and a half, but I've been with my girlfriend for months now and she's a vegetarian so I eat more healthy around her and guess what? I'm much better and my intestine grumbles only occasionally now! You just need to be methodic with it and accept the fact that you will have to sacrifice certain aliments. Sometimes I eat salad and non greasy food for 2-3 days and those are the times when I feel the lightest and the best regarding the noises.
Cut down the milk and all that is bad for you ( or at least for me, i am definitely lactose untolerant even though blood analysis did not show anything I was allergic to ) and eat a lot of yogurt to help with your bowels movements and you should be fine. Cut down the oil ( i love french fries but now I decided to let it go, better feen for it than be embarassed by your stomach ), eat fish every now and then, and TAKE YOUR TIME while ingesting your food: i love food so I have the tendency to rush my meals.. do not do that.
Its sad that I've seen these very same tips over and over again but never gave them a serious try because I thought my problems were bigger than that but please be disciplined and try them to  see your situation improve.

We have a traditional cure for this problem in Iran an in Islamic medicine. i have this problem for more than 10 months and none of the most famous doctors can’t cure me. But there is a cure for this. You should mix pulverized “Common corncokle” (Agrostemma githago( with good “honey” and + some water and drink all. It’s too effective.

Hey guys I too have been having this problem quite some some time.  It was SO embarrassing during classes especially when I sat by that special someone, you know. I recently started feeling like almost cramps in my bowel area and you searched all over for cures. I narrowed it down to two things, irritable bowel syndrome, or constipation. Now for me IBS was NOT an answer so I decided to research constipation a bit. Turns out it can cause intestine grumbling and it is cured by almost all of the things posited here. So I tried it, and it went away. Now I get like maybe one or two silent grumbles a day. And all I have to do is eat spoonful of honey in the morning. That simple. If you want it to go away faster u can try to have things that are high in fiber or just cut down on the cheese. Its also rumoured that drinking hot water or some teas will help. Anyway hope this helps and if you want to get the specifics just google how to get rid of constipation. Good luck!

I recently discovered something. Turns out the honey wasn't helping that much, it was the water I drank with it. I am dehydrated a lot because idk I never got into the habit of drinking water all the time. At it seems to me that dehydration may be the problem. Every time I skip water at breakfast the noises come on pretty hard. I still believe constipation is also one of the causes, plus being constipated isn't healthy. Thanks for reading.

This sounds like what I had. My intestines always made noises and gurgly sounds. I cut wheat and gluten out of my diet and it totally went away. I'm really sensitive though, so I can't even have a crumb, or else I get really bloated and the grumbling is bad.

I have this too.  It is caused by a bacteria that is passed through saliva.  Did you kiss someone that has this, share drinks, or share utensils?  I got it from a kiss.  The guy didn't even use his tongue, but there was definite saliva swappage.  Now my stomach growls like his.

You can go to a dentist that does "oral dna" testing.  There are 3 oral dna tests.  One for genetic predisposition for periodontal disease, one for oral hpv testing, and one for bacterial analysis.  Get the one for bacterial analysis.  Unfortunately the test is so new that insurance will not cover it.  It will cost around $175.  For best results, don't gargle any mouthwash before going, as this could momentarily reduce the bacteria in your mouth.

The bacteria on my chart says it's "refractive" as in, resists treatment.  But there were other bacteria on my chart as well, so you may not have the same ones I have.  The guy that gave this to me has had it for about 15 years.  He knew he was giving it to me but went ahead anyway.  He did not warn me.

I just want to add, I know with 100% certainty that this is passed through saliva.  Saliva is the only thing me and this guy swapped.  There was no down and dirty or even "feely uppy."  All of my symptoms mirror his.

What's more, when I first told him about my stomach problems, he asked if I had a white tongue.  I said no, but then 3 months after the kiss I got the first white tongue of my life.  The reason people are not connecting this with saliva is because it takes time for the symptoms to show.  It was about a month after the kiss when the borborygmi started for me.

Everyone has been taught to believe saliva is safe.  Sharing drinks and kissing are so common.  Stomach problems are also so common.  Not all stomach problems are contagious, but this one is!

I realize that some foods cause more growling than others.  When I eat bread it sounds like water running through large pipes...the gurgling is extremely loud...and also when I eat green grapes for some reason (I think it may be the fructose in that case.)  What I am doing is creating a diary of all the food triggers.  I may not be able to totally eliminate the growling but at least stop eating the things that make my stomach growl loudly.

PS: My stomach just growled a little bit after the banana I ate so that is going on the list. :)

Maybe you guys should look into candida and candidiasis. It's a fungus that inhabits the intestines and if they multiply and upset the good flora balance they can bring all sorts of havoc in the intestines and the whole body. Anti-candida medicine and diets exist and it's just a matter of finding what will work for you. I believe this will help:

Anti-candida medication (

or ebay)

Anti-candida diet

Exercise and enough rest regularly

Taking a lot of fibre and good brand pro-biotics that works effectively

I hope the above suggestions will help someone out there. Goodluck!

I finally figured out what it was after years and years- it seems like the body is missing a certain mineral or something and has problems digesting food because I started taking geritol complete vitamin once in the morning and its gone away- I can eat anything now and no grumbles its so embarassing so try it and it will work guaranteed!

Excuse me but I have IBS, and in IBS patients their intestines do NOT develop tumors as you said. IBS is simply an over-reactive colon that can cause moderate to severe digestion problems. There's no "balloons" of gas as you put it. IBS patients do pass gas a lot, and they mostly have to deal with diarrhea. Constipation is very rare.
