Is Hydochlorot a diuretic? My mother used hydrochlorothiazide but I think these two drugs are the same thing. They are supposed to increase the amount of urine passed, which causes the body to lose water and salt. She hasn’t complained about any side effects.
However, possible side effects of these drugs may be: muscle weakness, dizziness, cramps, thirst, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, headache. These are not dangerous but a doctor should be contacted if any of the experienced symptoms persist.
In case you develop sore throat with fever, difficulty breathing or swallowing, skin rash or unusual bleeding or bruising, you should call a doctor immediately.
