Is it bad for the body if I run often but I don't think I am getting enough nutrition?
info about me first...
I am 20, I have a job, going to school, and I live with my parents. All my money is going to car insurance, school, and savings. I know that we don't have anything healthy in my household. We never have fruits, I try to eat carrots and celery but that's not a meal... we usually have hotdogs, hamburgers, steak, noodles, and stir fry. We usually have a side of vegetables that I go crazy on. Oh and we don't have dinner every night and I don't really eat lunch. I try to drink 9 cups of water a day.
So is it healthy for me to run without good nutrition or even no nutrition at all? Or should I only run when I get some good food in me? My next paycheck I plan on buying vitamins because I figured that may help me.
I'm sure you know that running without proper nutrition is just going to result in you losing heaps of weight and feeling tired all the time!! So lets address the problem of trying to finance proper nutrition on a small income. Things like rice, pasta, couscous etc aren't expensive and can be eaten with the veg which you say you already eat.
What I have also discovered is that over here in South Africa, it is actually cheaper to take a meal supplement than actually eating an extra meal. I use a powder which I mix with water - it is high in protein and vitamins and it made a huge difference to my nutrition.
Keep us posted on your progress.

carrots can be a meal and are very healthy. So, I would continue with them.
What about bananas, apples and plenty other fruits and vegetables - they are cheap...
Food you are eating.. well.. if you are running on it, it is obviously source of energy - but on the long run -not the best choice.
when starting your own household, you will know what to have and what not to have in your fridge and in your stomach. Look forward to new days to come... i hope for your sake they will come soon ;)
