im 14 years old and{i live in massachusetts} im pretty sure that im pregnant.and the last think i want to do is to tell my parents{it would kill them}and would ruin everything.i want to get an abortion but im scared and dont know if i need to have parental consent to have one cause if thats the case i mine as well hide in my room for the next 9 months cause I WILL NOT tell my parents that im pregnant!what should i do about the abortion thing ?
Hi there, this is a very scary thing to go through on your own. All schools have a school nurse who provide pregnancy tests, counseling (if needed) and its all confidential so don't worry about your parents finding out. It would probably be a good idea telling you mum so you have her support and knows what your going through. She will probably be shocked at the start but will most probably be happy that you have come to her for help. You would be surprised how calm parents act in these situations. You dont need parents consent to have an abortion.

You shouldn't need consent but having someone for support can make a world of difference! It is a very very very scary thing but just try and be strong and try talking to your mom, you never know she may react in a totally different way than you think.
