I to was on effexor and have the same trouble The "brain shivers or shock , naussea, vomiting, chills allthe way to my fingertips, dizziness, and ex. I had my doc wean me and i felt sick so i went to his office after a week and explained this all he said was guess it was working for you and you need it so i was back on it. then i lost my insurance and decided this doc is a quack so found a new doc who gave me the generic of paxil witch is paroxetine well tried that and found it is the same exact med as effexor as it will make you sick to. I am prisoned on this med because i have 5 children an can't take care of them while in that sick state.any lawsuit for that awful med i am in it has ruined my life I can't handle the side effects they are evil. please help me I thought i was the only one too until 7/30/09 this is the first time i have heard of other people with these same conditions
To be honest I never heard of anyone becoming sick from this medicine, however i know when you miss a dosage it can cause severe dizziness to the point where you might feel sick. Thats from missing a dosage though.
i took peroxatine and effexor. omg i totaly know how you feel!!! both of them were horrible. when i was on them, i didnt get out of bed, i didnt eat, i didnt talk to anyone if i didnt have to, i lost a bunch of weight, i had so much pressure in my head i thought i was going crazy. it was awful. :cry: . i have decided to put it into gods hands and try to get through this without medicine. if you ever want to talk im here. nice to know that im not the only one who got worse on these meds. my name is nikki and im only 21 but if you ever want to talk to me im here.
