GHonestly it sounds to me like you could be suffering from anxiety. I know that creates the feeling of the urgency that you need to go, which would be something you could cure with some antianxiety measures. What do you think?

I am having similar issues. Is it possible that we are having intermittent rectal prolapse?

I am 21 years old and I have been facing this problem also. Mine started with constipation...I was constipated for almost two months. Now I just feel constant anal pressure and my lower back always hurts...always really bad. I had so many different tests done to rule out cancer, chrones, etc. My doctor's diagnosed me with pelvic floor dysfunction. They said that I have to undergo biofeedback treatment and physical therapy for 2 weeks, intensively...all day 2-3 appointments per day. But I've been doing my own research to and I am looking into yoga, hot sits baths, the use of low dosage valium (which is a muscle relaxant as well as an anti-anxientant) and possibly even something called prolotherapy. Hope this helps.

I am 60 years old and I feel this when I am very active, like working out at the gym and jogging on the treadmill. I have had a colonoscopy in March and had cancerous polyps removed. The doc wasn't worried about it and said come back in 3 years. I think that internal hemmorrhoids (spelling?) can cause this type of pressure also.

Look at pin worms as a possible cause. They get worse early morning.

Hi guys it's internal haemorrhoids! piles.
A burst vein in the rectum canal fils with blood and the pressure is that, all you can do is take germaloids suppositries! They shrink the internal pile and help with the feelings, they're an anaesthetic so numb the pain, u just pop one in at night and first thing you will have a motion if needed, even if your empty the pain can be severe as the blood rushes in the ruptured vein, i know because I've had this myself, it stops if I get on all 4s and push as if having a baby but few minutes later it all starts again and sleeping was out! Since I used the suppositries it shrunk it and has now stopped, took 2 weeks of using them. They're £6 for a box of 24 and u use one at bedtime.
Hope u all get some relief soon as mine was agony but thank god nothing since
:0)

It's internal haemorrhoids you need germaloids suppositries pack of 24 = £6 one in ur rectum at night before bed will stop it instantly, but use for 2 weeks to completely shrink the internal pile or it'll be back? It's a ruptured vein that's filling with blood, pushing helps the pain but it's making it bigger everytime and it can be agony! The suppositries have anaesthic in that stops pain my other post is here explaining more but unsure where it is, I think the moderator was checking it, anyway guys let's hope u all get relief soon :0)

Yes, I'm amazed to read that theres a few of us feeling the same thing!!! I know that many with the same problem isn't helpful to remedy, but at least it makes us feel quite conforted to know we're not the only ones!!! I'm 36, female from Mexico. I've been having colitis and gasthritis problems for a while now, but with the precise treatment it goes away until I behave badly and eat spicy or hot dishes (a problem being Mexican, for we love it and use it all the time!). But it normally can be controlled with my gasthroenterologist guidance, omeprazole, dicetel and diet rich in fiber and without the "bads" (we all know 'bout them). The thing is that a few months ago, I felt this strange rectal pressure, that at a point went away for a few months. (About four years ago I fell down on my coccix and it bent, but had it fixed. Also I have had hemorroids sometimes. So I attributed the pressure to either one.) But for a couple of weeks it has slowly returned, at first on and off, but now it's almost constant and it actually has started to produce a VERY off and discomfrotable sensation inside my groin too. It's desperating!!! I went to my gastro. physician, and she order me a colon x-ray by enema (I surely don't want to do it, first because it must feel awful, but also because I'm terrified by what this can be!!! (And it isn't cheap either!!! And I'm currently unemployed!!!) So all this has taken my full attention, my fears are all around this, and as a XXI century cancerophobic... I don't know what to do.
Will this go away??? Is it as some have argued before... tension??? It can be, of course! My stress levels are peaking tops of the tops... I don't usually do any exercise, my diet isn't that great and I spend a lot of time sitting. I have noticed that it worsens when I'm driving, or sitting around or watching t.v. or right now, sitting in front of the computer sharing my angst with all of you.
CAN ANY ONE HELP US HERE??? PLEASE!!!!

Germaloids suppositries will cure it, read about internal piles and skin tags in rectum.

Hi. Could anyone please help me with my problem because no meter what I do, it is present almost all the time. I'm 34 year old female and I would like to find out more about this.
About two weeks ago I started to feel this strange rectal pressure.
I don’t know what is causing it but the sensation is very similar to one just before bowel movement. But the thing that’s confusing me is that my bowel is empty and still I have this feeling.
Please tell me what should I do? I have even tried with some anti-constipation medications but nothing could help me.
I'm pretty desperate!

Hi, I am 45 and have also been dealing with this rectal pressure. I had a colonoscopy and barium enema with negative results (Thank God). I also suffer from IBS. My Gyn diagnosed me with a cystocele (this is basically a herniation of the bladder pushing into the vagina) and a rectocele (also a herniation of the vaginal wall pushing through the rectal wall). These are more common in women who have given birth but, not always. All of this can cause rectal pressure. I believe my symptoms are worse around my period or ovulation. We all know hormones can reak havoc on our system. It also seems to be common in families. My mother and grandmother also had this problem. My primary care doctor also confirmed that a rectocele can cause this pressure. So check with your doctor again. If anyone else has any info for us sufferers please share.

HI, I have very similar symptoms along with a tingling numbness from the waist down. The rectal pressure describrd is almost identical to what I feel as well. I am 51 and male. This is usually associated with siatica from child birth and bearing and prolonged hip dispacia I am told. My problem started with a prolonged awkward standing position with pelvis forward and continued in severity over a couple of weeks. I also have had an MRI with no obvious cause showing up. I am almost certain this condition is as described above from nerve impingment somewhere in the lower spinal area. The rectal pressure is similar in discomfort and pain to a herniated coccyx (tail bone). I do have type 2 diabetes but have had no elevated glucose levels or problems since getting it under control. Diabetes can be resposible for some of these symtoms from a condition known as mononueropathy which can starve the lumbar muscles of oxygenated blood. My doctor wants me to get an MRI of the brain just to confirm this is not what is happening. I have started to get some relief from visiting a chiropractor and using the electrostimulator on the lumbar and glut muscles. I feel very strongly that this is a result of a pinched nerve somewhere in the lower spine and finding the proper pressure point may solve the whole thing.

get checked for heb c I had same problem, misdignoised for years did chemo, now in remission and feeling so much better. I'm telling you if you do, it only gets worse,IBS is one of the symptoms and much more. look up hepititis symptoms.I lived in the bathroom and hospital from 99 to 2007. my ex husband called and told me to get it checked cos he had it, he findly past away, I got deathly sick, in the mist of it all I ended up with every symptom, you do not want to go there.Don't want to scare anyone, but all the years of suffering they never checked me on their own for hep c. sorry about my spelling I am just tired it's late , hope this helps, but at the same time I hope you don't have it. but you should get tested just to see' pass this on,and good luck.
