My colon and rectal gave me a compound that had nitro glicerin in it. That helped heal the fissurre. That was my first problem. With severe constipation, since childhood ( now 39). I have since had to under go having internal and external hemmerroids being removed. A total of 5 times in the last 5 yrs. After having my second child. I have had constant bloating in the stomach as well as rectal pressure. My physician started me on Amitiza for the constipation issues. And the bloating has improved a great deal. I am looking on having a procedure done on my rectal colon bowel area where they inject a fluid to shrink the hemmeroids. I was curious if anyone has had this done. My Dr. does not do it, so I am seeking and found another Dr. who does do these newer procedures. Thanks!

hi. pain in the but. I am 32 yearold mom too. Doctors can't decide what's wrong with me. I think either anal fissure or hemorrhoids or both. I've researched lots about hem removal. Seems like Ultroid would work well or crs banding. both seem to work with minimal pain. Have you tried anything yet?

I concur 100% - I had a simple procedure on my perianal area and started to focus on so many other issues in that area. I have always know the strong link between mind and body and the resulting psychosomatic influences that have caused me a great deal of mental and physical duress. What is real is the fact that your brain can actual cause the tension and the resulting pain. Fear, anxiety, negative self-talk create a vicious cycle of keeping this psychosomatic pain going. To reassure yourself on the medical front, I would schedule an anal pap smear (yes, I said anal pap smear) to guarantee cellular activity in that area is okay. You can also have a scope of your lower GI to rule out any physical issues. Once you do that and find normal results, I would urge you to focus on breaking the negative cycle of fear that your brain has created. Like teacupmonkey, you have to push through and provide positive self talk. Over time, the symptoms will subside. You can even engage is self-psychotherapy by recording positive messages for up to 30 minutes on your iPhone and listening to it every day before bed or a nap. It sounds crazy but it works! Again, I am not saying that this is NOT physically-related; however, my own personal experience showed that mine resulted from fear and from stupidly reading horror stories and symptoms online. My brain is a mastermind that created these symptoms. I hope this helps and finds you in good health.
