I think the reply above has got it in one, you all have the same symptoms as me and i have got Gilberts Syndrome, the doctors will tell you there are know symptoms but you only have to be on the internet for 15mins and see the amount of symptoms there are. There is nothing you can take for Gilberts syndrome, it is just a case of learning to live with it

Find a new gastro and ask about Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Keep a diary of what you eat and how you feel after. My guess is there are a few things going on that need to be pared down. I think your age works against you, but keep in mind, doctors are working for you. If they're not giving you good service, find a new one. I don't know how many times I was blown off by lazy doctors only to find out later that what I had was very treatable and I didn't have to suffer that way if I'd just found someone who'd listen to me.
What you have can likely be managed. Don't give up.

Im 18 and have been going through the same thing. I dread eating and especially going out for meals because I NEVER feel well afterwards. No matter what I eat, whether its a healthy salad, grilled chicken, or junk food, even without caffeinated drinks I feel horrible, like im gonna throw up and have stomach cramps, as well as fatigue. I have hypothyroidism but am on medicine for that and am tested every few months through drawing blood to make sure thats all leveled out, my mom has hypoglycemia (sp? lol) but I dont, not that I know of anyways. And sometimes I want to skip a meal just because I know that I wont feel well afterwards, although Ive recently found out that sometimes I wake up feeling sick because I havent eaten (even if I ate dinner the night before, not because I starved myself or nothing). Im sooo sick of feeling sick all the time! Im going to college next week and would love it if I was actually able to hang out with people or go out to lunch/dinner with friends without feeling sick and embarrased that im always going to the bathroom because I feel like im gonna throw up. help?

I will be 60 in a couple of days, for months now, like you, every time I eat ANYTHING my first reaction is EXTREME fatigue, then nausea, headachey. This happens every time in about 10 min. I use to suffer from hypoglycemia, so I did a home OGTT and my blood sugar at the 1/2 hr was 222, then 1 hr 180 then in the 2 hr, it feel 100 pt to 80. I have a call into my doctor, but I doubt that it is diabetes. I eat very small meals, always with protein and carb. and I eat something every 3 hours. I dread it every time. Even if I eat, half of an egg and a half of piece of toast, I can hardly make it to the bedroom before I literally crash 1-2 hrs. I know that I sleep at least 14 hrs a day and I know that I could sleep 24 hrs a day. Like all of you have said, WHAT IS WRONG??? I know my doctor, who is very nice, is just going to look at me like I am crazy. I also have hypothroidism. I take Armor Thyroid, do any of you also take Armor?? All I want to do is cry. Please is there someone out there that can help us??

Were you saying you didn't have diabetes?
A bloodsugar of 222 is a HUGE indicator you have diabetes, but since you said you eat carb+protein I'm guessing you're saying that Diabetes is NOT the cause.
I also have diabetes and don't think it is the cause.
Do you guys burp alot?
I would love an answer to this too, as eating sucks when this happens, I don't get excited or look forward to eating all, and making meals feels pointless.

Hi Everyone, I too faced similar issues for 8 years. No doctor would help. Rather than admit they didn't know they dismissed me and told me nothing was wrong. It was my chriropractor that helped. Turns out mine was all related to food sensitivies. Not allergies, which are easy to diagnose, food sensativities do not show on typical allergy tests and the symptoms from eating foods may not surface for up to three days! My first relief was the "Eat Right For Your Type" book. I suggest buying the supplements from D'adamo's web site, they make a big difference! I am just about to start a new allergy treatment with the BioVeda BAX3000. It's a new form of therapy which retrains your body to not fight off non-harmful substances which your body is reacting to. I am not associated with this company and am only spreading the word because I know what it feels like to want to do nothing but sleep for the past 8 years! After thousands of wasted dollars spent on doctors and supplements, this therapy, I believe, is worth the try.
If your body is reacting to what you eat negatively, it's trying to tell you something. More than likely, it's what you are eating. Don't think that just because you are eating a healthy diet it can't be the food. One man's food may be another's poison! Grains, tomatoes, chicken... they were all detrimental to my health.
If you can't do the BAX3000 treatment, try the D'adamo Eat Right for your Type book. What do you have lose?

Fellow sufferers,
I found this board through Google, and I have the same problem. Has ANYBODY figured it out? My biggest problem is after lunch - no matter how small of a meal I eat, I start feeling AWFUL about an hour later. It is absolutely horrible.
The only relief I've found is to take 3 Lorcet - 10/650's, which is a strong narcotic. I get them for my back, but this stomach thing bothers me MUCH more than my degenerated disk.
First of all, for anybody reading who has these symptoms, get tested for diabetes. I have type 2 diabetes and monitor my blood sugar closely. I am on Metformin and my blood sugar does NOT get real high when I feel bad, but it does feel JUST LIKE I used to feel before I found out I was diabetic and got on medicine.
I haven't read all of the posts yet, but I am so HAPPY to see that I'm not alone.
Anyway, get your blood sugar tested because high blood sugar can make you feel bad, just like you have described here. Unfortunately, I am still having the problem.
I have noticed that when I eat a very small portion of lunch, it isn't as bad. HELP!

I don't know if this will help anyone, but my sister has also had this problem. She has found that papaya really helps this sort of thing. She would get sick after eating anything, anything at all. However, in some cases, eating papaya afterwards helps. She got these all natural papaya tablets. As long as she takes one after eating something, she no longer feels ill. I hope that helps some of you, at least. =)

Question... Do you still feel bad?
If so, look into Lyme Disease. It's not really a disease but a tenacious bad bacteria. Teasel Root, starting with small quantities is the answer.
Also, you could be mercury toxic. The protocol for proper chelation is varied, but Andrew Cutler is the leading expert. His website (and other websites) are helpful.
Please note: Both Lyme Disease & mercury toxicity are greatly misunderstood by our current medical field, but with effort & time, they're curable. Let me know if I can help.
Sincerely,
Scott

I know exactly how you feel.
I can't really say when this started for me, but its been going on for a really long time.
I'm 24 years old, female, 5ft 4in, about 120 pounds.
Most of the time after I eat, I feel sick. So I decided to stop eating whenever my stomach started to hurt. Cause honestly, I thought maybe I was just over eating?
That plan didn't seem to work, because that only caused me to eat less and I keep losing weight.
Not that I'm complaining really, but at this rate I'll be unhealthy skinny.
I don't have any kind of insurance to go to a doctor, so really all I've been doing is eating less, and just taking something to help with the nausea and diarrhea.
And its not an all the time issue. Doesn't matter what I eat or really how much either.
It can last for maybe 10 minutes to like a couple hours. And I'm just fed up with it.
I'm open to any suggestions.
Once I get my tax return, I plan to go to a doctor and see if there is anything they can suggest.
