For the person feeling bad when you eat anything, if you have ruled out everything else, you may want to consider that it could be your insulin imbalance. It may be so small that it does not register for a doctor. Insulin affect digestion. Test it this way. Try taking 1-2 capsules or tablets of apple cider vinegar immediately after you eat a meal. If it is insulin, you will feel normalized in less than 20 minues. (Tablet may give some gas. Capsules are just as goo and cheap) However, vinegar affect some people negatively like those with low blood pressure levels. If you are one of those people, consult your doctor before you try apple cider vinegar. Mixing one part liquid vinegar with two parts water gives only small benefits, but may help someone.

Hi!  I'm 22 years old, and had this problem from the ages of 6 or so.  I too, went to countless doctors, and had horrible experiences with medical encounters.  They didn't have a test for gluten then, but my mom figured I should try the gluten free diet; because I was 12 by then, and my health was awful because I refused to eat.  I have been gluten free since then, and all my health issues went away.  It takes about a month for the gluten to be flushed out of your system, and it's incredibly difficult at first to eat gluten free (because there's so many gluten-based ingredients in everything: mono and diglycerides, dextrose, caramel color, etc.).  I would suggest the gluten free diet for a few weeks at least, to see if there's any improvement after that time.  The gluten-free diet changed my life.  If you're gluten intolerant, it'll change yours too.

This sounds exactly like what I've been going through.  I recommend trying a diet that is free of MSG: however, this is an extremely difficult diet to follow.  MSG is hidden under many, many different names.  Here is a link that has been extremely helpful to me  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed*** .  Like I said, avoiding MSG is extremely difficult, but I have some great recipes if any of you are  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** private e-mails not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use

I have the same issues with feeling horrible after eating anything.  I was tested for food allergies;  I knew of two and ended up being allergic (some in small ways) to almost 60% of whatever they threw at me.  (LITERALLY 60 out of 100 skin tests.)

So far, the main culprits seem to be anything with corn products (including starches, syrups, corn meal, dextrose, maltodextrin, etc.), dairy, soy, and sugar.  If you can cut out these four foods, your diet will be extremely healthy and limited.  Think about it-- everything processed has some form of corn, soy, or sugar in it, and everything that tastes awesome has some dairy product in it.

Switch to using coconut oil for everywhere you'd otherwise use butter or vegetable oil.  The medium-chain triglycerides are supposed to be great for quick-absorbing energy, so less if not zero will be stored as fat in your body.  This is also supposed to be good for combating Candida, since you thought you had that before.

I was able to eat things like pasta and beans for a while, but I still felt like c**p.  I eventually had to cut out all starches-- pasta, breads, oats, potatoes, rice, etc.  Fruit was also cut out, assuming it was all the different sugars affecting me.  I felt great.  Unfortunately, with my allergies I was limited to eggs, seafood, some nuts, and a few vegetables.  While the food was good, it took forever to cook (I was used to the convenience of fast food and microwaveable food) and I could never cook enough for more than one meal.  It was constant munching here and there; it seemed like I never got any work done.

Nothing is resolved yet, but I've had clearance from an allergist to resume eating foods that I tested allergic to but did not affect me prior to the testing.  E.g., if it didn't cause early anaphylactic symptoms, I could add it back into my diet.  I just thought I'd let you know that I've been there and done that.

By the way, see an allergist and get tested.  You may have a form of EGID-- eosinophilic gastric inflammation disease or something like that.  It's where you're allergic to food, but it only shows up internally.  You'll get all sorts of problems that 'normal' people don't get, like food running right through you, cramps and gas, etc.

I am experiencing these exact same symptoms from eating almost any food :( I miss work sometimes due to the fatigue, bloating, cramping, and lack of being able to use the restroom. My doctor also said the same, gluten intolerance, anxiety, and bacterial imbalance of the digestive system. Have you figured anything out yet?? Thanks so much! This problem also started in my teens!!

hello
Well I have had this same since I was a Kid (17 or earlier) Tell me do you people also have a feeling that something is crawling around in your (my) back? That was my FIRST symptom at 17 and it has been all downhill since. I had something removed (mole or SOMETHING) from my back when I was a tiny kid 4yo,and don't remember much of that and I'm sure it is some kind of PARASITE that grows very large internally, as I have found some relief using Parasite meds for last 15 years but cant seem to eliminate it, its almost not worth living with this c**p! anyone have the crawling and other internal sensations? I think this LARGE PARASITE EATS WHEN I DO !! and that don't work out very well. Yes I have ALL your symptoms too and cant hardly even eat anything anymore as the food don't want to go down until this "thing" is done with it first! Doctors are useless and I cant find a cure!
I hope someone finds a cure, I know someone has to know what is going on too, it may be more than the human race can take!
I am no 70 yrs old and EXTREMELY tired of this stuff, HELP someone in med community SPEAK UP anonymously if you need but HELP US ALL !.

Sounds to me like gluten/dairy allergies.  I feel the same.  I also know other people who have the same problems.  Since before I turned 50 years old I started feeling this way.  I really notice it if I eat a lot of rich foods.....like every time we go on a cruise I feel sick after dinner & something feels like it is stabbing me under my rib cage.  A lot of gas also.  I always want to just go to bed early!  You will feel better when you stop eating sugar, flour (anything with alot in it), and milk.  Try that & see what happens.  I always feel better when I am on a protein diet......No bread, or starches....stay away from the "white" stuff!  Good luck!

I don't know if these people need this information anymore but maybe it can help someone else.

I could relate to what you wrote.  Every time after I ate I would feel awful.  It is hypoglycemia which are related to the adrenal glands.

Your blood sugars aren't regulating properly and that is why you feel so bad after eating.

I only started taking this product 3 days ago but I can already tell it has helped so much.

It's called Serenity Formula by Dr. Michael Murray.   You can get it online.  I think it will help.

Hope you feel better,

L

I think food sensitivies are definitely a direction to look in. As the poster of this reply stated, it can take up to 3 days for symptoms of food sensitivity to show up, which makes it so difficult to figure out what is bothering you. I started off with headaches every day about 15 years ago (sorry if this scares you...I've been dealing with this for a very long time, but have had times where I've been totally healthy for a few months at a time) and for the most part have taken 3 to 12 ibuprofen a day. For some reason other pain relievers don't work for me, or make my symptoms worse. I wake up every morning feeling awful and take 1 to 3 ibuprofen 1st thing in the morning and don't feel human for about two hours. Right now, things have progressed to intense stomach pain when I eat, severe sciatica pain coming from REALLY tight muscles in my body. Every inch of my body hurts. I feel nauseas when I eat (don't usually throw-up), dizziness, heart palpitations, asthma, anxiety, depression, RLS, insomnia, fatigue, aggression and frustration, and more. I have fasted before and have felt alive again when I fast for more than 3 or 4 days. I wouldn't recommend water fasting for anyone unless you consult with a physician (who will think you are crazy! what I said to my Dr. is, will it hurt me terribly to fast for a few days and what should I watch for while I do this to keep me safe and she said o.k.). My problem is once I start eating, I don't monitory my reactions very well and they sneak up on me. You will be addicted to the foods you are most sensitive to. I think an elimination diet is useful, and keeping a diary or journal of your reactions and how you feel. I would be careful with ordering a lot of supplements. I react severely to many medications and supplements because my system is so off balance right now. Start with one supplement and get a sample if you can. I would wait until after an elimination diet to start any supplements. The more reactive your body is, the greater chance your body will react to anything you add, so it's best if you are feeling good for a while to add supplements. Supplements and medications will just mask what your body is trying to tell you. Certain supplements may block reactions or help you feel better, which may cause you to keep doing what is making you ill. I have had help from acupuncture, chiropractic and massage (Amma massage which works along your body's meridians and helps energy flow). But, I've noticed by eliminating foods, I feel better and it's easier for my chirpractor and acupuncturist to do what they can, they aren't fighting against my body and my body isn't resisting them. Right now I have severe leg and low back pain and no amount of stretching can help. This, I found out, is due to the urinary channels in my body being blocked by too much mucous from dairy foods. I thought it was crazy at first, but it really makes sense and I notice a huge difference when I abstain from dairy. Some people can eat whatever they want and some of us have to treat our bodies delicately.

Oh, I have been tested by regular Dr.'s and Naturopathic Dr.'s for most blood tests and everything comes back negative. My intuition keeps telling me not to waste money on Dr.'s. I even wore a halter monitor when the Dr. noticed a few PVC's and my heart is fine. They even felt the need to test me for asthma even though I've been on medication and Dr.'s have recognized I have asthma since I was 10 or so and that came back positve (Duh!). I feel Dr.'s are limited to diagnosing severe disease and that's it. They usually just want to put me on prozac. I can see a big difference in my mental/physical/emotional and spiritual state when I fast. I just need to go slow in reintroducing foods so I can figure out what I can eat. It may just be overload once I start eating again. Food rotation may be a big help once I get to that point again. Keep clear of processed foods that contain MSG and hidden MSG. check out msgmyth website for all the names of this excitotoxin. There has to be hope! Here's wishing everyone feels healthy, energetic, joyful and peaceful soon! Once we figure this out for ourselves, we'll be able to help others!

I have been very interested in cleansing. Our bodies can't efficiently eliminate and handle the foods we take in (which are greatly adulturated unless you are eating whole organic foods and I can't always afford that). My body doesn't do well cleansing, I get pretty severe reactions and haven't known how to handle this. I did have a CDSI (complete digestive stool analysis) which indicated no candida (but candida is really hard to test for) but I had no good bacteria present, so I know I need to get some probiotics going. Probiotics are always a good idea. I can't take the suggested dose as I get stomach cramps, but I think I can cut it in half and take a little at a time. I also wonder about cleansing my liver and other things. Is it necessary? Or just the aloe vera juice? Is it best to take aloe vera juice in water, or straight? Make sure to get pure aloe with no carrageenan or citric acid. I'm going to try this. I think my system is still very sensitive and there will be foods I need to eliminate to help my body heal and function at it's best. "white foods" (white sugar, white flour), probably gluten and dairy, processed foods with preservatives and sugar-free, fat-free foods, etc. I read that packaged foods were made for store shelves, not our bodies. Our bodies weren't meant to eat that stuff. Thanks for the post on cleansing and probiotics!

I had this problem two years ago and after seeing multiple doctors and running tests they took my gallbladder out. They said it was my gallbladder and it would be fine soon. I was better for about a month, and I do not eat much fried or bad food. two years later I am back to where I first began, sick all the time. Most of the time I will have awful stomach pains after i eat. Somethings hurt me worse than others, sugar, milk, fruit, chocolates. I think I am lactose intolerant and glucose intolerant, but no one will test me for that, they just run tests on everything but that.

I would say write down everything that makes you sick and how long after you eat that you get sick and what happens (sick meaning....)

Well, your symptoms are consistent to a gluten allergy, but you might be clInically depressed. It wouldn't hurt to try counciling and cut out stressful activities. But defiantly try cutting out gluten.
