Hello! I had a chest ray and the result stated that there is a questionable density in the upper lobes. What does that mean? It stated deferred.suggest alv study.

Hi Guest,

Questionable means just that. They don't know what it is.

Usually another x-ray is recommended, usually an apicolordotic view. This focuses more on the upper portions of the lungs.

Other tests can include a sputum analysis.

You NEED to follow up on this. It can indicate PTB - but for now we don't know what it is.
