I am 20 years old. I first got my period at 14, and have always been irregular. I started going 6 months without a period, and then that amount of time without having a period got bigger and bigger. I have been put on the pill to fix that, but I still have no periods. I have gone years without a real period now.
My gyn says thats normal with the birth control pill I am on (Gildess Fe, of that helps). But will it ever be possible to get pregnant if I choose to have kids? And could this be a sign of PCOS? My mom wants me to get tested for it, but we cant find a gyn who my regualr doctor recommends who tests for it. I also have an underactive thyroid that I am on medication for, if that can be linked to having no periods.
help?
