I know this post was over 6yrs ago, I'm suffering from the same issue. Was wondering was have you come up with? I've had X-rays and have seen 2 specialist and nothing. It feels like I have something inside my knee.

hey! I don't know if this help, but I was getting it really bad when I crouched down or was kneeling. The skin on my knees felt like it was ripping . I stopped using body lotions, especially peppermint and it went away.

do you use scented body lotions on your legs ? I stopped using mine and the skin stopped burning etc.

Hi, I know your post is a year old but I wanted to know if you ever found out what you have. I am experiencing the same EXACT pain in my right knee. I'm thinking it's a result of working retail and standing in my feet for 10+ hrs 6 days a week for years!

I have a burning/rug burn sensation just below my knee, first felt when I knelt on my bed, about a week ago. If I bend the knee too far there is pain/burn feeling again otherwise my knee seems fine, just bending and kneeling set it off. My doctor has no idea what it is, except to say maybe my ligaments or tendons are a bit loose and my knee cap is moving more than it ought to, come back in 6 weeks if it's not improved. Before the burn feeling, occasionally my knee felt like there was a bubble in it? Weird sensation, but still not painful.

I have the same thing! Whatever happened with yours? Mine started 2 mos ago and my doc gave me steroid cream but I didn't use it. It burns when the sheets rub against it, or my jeans. I thought it was a rug burn because I was playing with a baby on the floor. No marks or anything So frustrating all of experience this same thing.

Yours is the first that specifically mentions how my pain feels. The skin over my knees is very tight and when I crouch or kneel it feels like my skin is surely about to rip and my bones pop out. The pain I am feeling is from tight skin (including my hands and feet) and no one knows what it is from. I don't use any body lotions, so that won't help. Signed, Still Looking for Answers

I am glad I found this place. I have the same, nothing visible on the outside but feeling as if my skin was being ripped apart , discomfort when it touches my clothes and a jolt of pain when I bend it or lean on it. The difference is that you guys have it on your knees and my pain is on my left elbow. Thanks for any help you may give me.

Same problem here as many of you so yes I too am glad I'm not losing my mind. But has anyone discovered the name of this condition and a treatment for it? It's totally unbearable at times so much that I have to roll onto our bed instead of kneel to get in or out, hurts like hell if I have to kneel to clean under something. However, it doesn't just go away when I re-position or stand up, it continues to burn long after I stop kneeling.

Yes, my right knee burns when I kneel on it, certainly not a result of Avon lotions !!!! However when I googled it, it said it says it is my tendon, and needs rest.
