I have cysts on my overies. They are small so nothing to worry to much about.
I often wonder if they pop as i get sharp quick stabbing pains that go as quick as they came.

If you are in so much pain why have they sent you home?
Is it because there isnt anything more they can do?

If it hadnt burst would they have taken it away?

Thanks.
Just interested as i have them to.
Hope the pain goes soon for you xx

I too have ovarian cysts. The first one which was the size of a lemon was discovered during an ultrasound to look for an IUD which had became inbedded in my uterius. I had a naval laporisity (not sure about spelling) to drain the cyst and a dnc to remove the IUD. I was one pain medication from the time they found my cyst until my surgery approximately a month and a half. Exactly a year later i had same pain went to obgyn he said i had a cyst just by doing my pap. Started me on pain med immediately and arranged an ultrasound. One week later at the ultrasound it was discovered that the cyst had ruputured and my doctor then gave me more pain medicine. The pain that comes along just with the cyst itself and the extreme pain of when they ruputre I am shocked your doctor did not give you anything. i would find another dr or go to the er.

I have been dealing with lower abdominal pain for about two weeks. The pain is unbearable during intercourse. I had thought that the pain was related to my IUD, so I had an ultrasound done this morning at my gynecologists office. They told me I had a cyst that had ruptured, so it's the fluid that's in my abdomen that is causing the pressure and pain that I'm feeling. The IUD does not cause cysts, however it also does nothing to help prevent them from forming in the first place like the pills do. I will be switching to nuvaring, which does help protect against ovarian cysts. I was told that as long as you are ovulating their is always going to be a chance for cysts to develop andd that many women have them, but don't even notice them. The pain can stick around for up to a couple of months, but during menstruation the fluid and the cyst will be eventually flushed out. If the pain persists, go back to your gynecologist. I am hoping with the nuvaring that I won't have to go through this again.

Well I'm dealing with it now. Mine busted and I'm having extremely painful side effects from it. It gave me an infection as well. Now today I'm bleeding dark blood..boobs hurt. Mood swings up and down even to the point I cry for no reason. Sent me home and mine was so big they called it a mass. Had no idea it was a ovarian cist by the looks of it on the ultrasounds and my CT. DRS JUST SUCK. And we're nothing but a #

Oh, let's not forget my regular physician I had my checkup with told me today cists don't cause pain. Probably just cramps. Haven't had my period in over 4 months because of this, but no one listened till it busted and the infection set in.
