i am a smoker and a drinker but i am quitting and recently i have developed red bumps that are in groups kind of like little bumpy clusters over the roof of my throat. not on my toung or on the roof of my mouth just in the way back of my throat. i am verry nervous to what it may be. i am young [16] so i dont think it would be anything too serious. any clue on what it could be or how i could heal it?

much thanks.

Well,

You are sixteen years of age and you say that you are smoker and drinker? In my opinion I think that you are a bit too young to be drinking and smoking regularly. Do you brush your teeth regularly? Do you use any mouthwash after the teeth brushing? The fact is that these bumps can be caused by some bacterial or a virus in your mouth, so it would be a good idea to pay more attention to your oral hygiene. Have you considered of using any antibiotic medication to get rid of the bumps in the back of your throat? I hope you find some of this information helpful, and try to avoid cigarettes and alcohol.

Good luck,

Karel
