Each time I eat something sugary, or fast food - when I pee it hurts but it hurts right after I pee, not when I pee. I do not have a urinary tract infection, nor do I have a yeast infection at the time when this happens.
It has been happening for years. It happens when I eat: bread, sugar, something sugary, chips, soda, starches, cocoa (oh cocoa is the worst!!), pizza, I can just forget about pizza, pie, pretty much anything that is not natural or plain. I had a physical done and my fasting sugar level (fasted over night and then tested the next day) was slightly high.
Oh, I get chronic, I mean chronic yeast infections. at least 2x a month. Yes, I have the same partner and no I do not have any new ones. I am platonic and married to the same man for almost 10 years.
If my sugar intake gets high then the burning starts and then the yeast infections start too
I am overweight (not proud about that or even sayiing it) so my thoughts are that I am type II diabetic, but..how do I find this out?? Aren't these signs enough to saay I am? Oh, ya, if I do not eat when I am supposed to I crash, blurred vision, sweating, shaking..you'd think I was an epileptic, and the list goes on...can someone help me please?? I do not have insurance so numerous blood tests are OUT.
Thanks a ton to all that help me here and if I am type II, what do I do from here??

It sounds like Candidiasis which is basically an overgrowth of Candida in your intestines. Check this out on line and visit a Naturopath - they can help you get it under control.
Look, urethra pain can definitely be caused by eating too much sugar and too much of the junk foods. Actually, it is well known that eating too much sugar can cause a UTI and it can cause a frequent burning after urination. So, here is what everyone should do when you notice this - try to cut out the sugars and fast for a couple of days, 7 days minimum. If your condition is getting better than there is an answer what has happened to you. If you still feel this burning issue, this is a sign that sugar is not your problem.
hey i dont have an answer for you, but i have had the same issue for as long as I can remember. I'm in my third year of medical school and still havent been able to figure out whats to blame.
I agree its not a UTI, the presentation of burning SPECIFICALLY & FAIRLY IMMIDIATELY following high sugar intake doesnt fit the differential.
This is purely speculation on my part but I feel it has to be something to do glucose transporter in the kidney becoming over saturated too quickly and leading to excess excretion, but that still doesn't really explain the burning and there are diabetes drugs that block the same transporters to lower bloodsugar and they cause burning urination as a side effect.
sorry I know this isnt helpful but I experience this as well and so does my brother.
ill post back if i figure it out.
best,
charles
