Is there any hope for me? I have had a short temper for as long as I can remember. I get angry and lose patience quickly. Generally speaking I can keep it under control relatively well, but when I am under a lot of stress, I often find myself snapping at my kids and my husband. Sometimes, I even throw things like my hairbrush, or the kids toys, when I get really bad. What can I do to keep this under control?
It sounds like you might benefit from taking an anger management course. I have done one in the past, and the anger management techniques I learned there have helped me a lot! If you have any particular triggers, you might want to take therapy to work on those as well. Lots of people have anger issues, so do realize you are not alone and you can get help to make things better.
