This is a thought for sharing. Since August of 2021, my senses of taste and smell have been altered due to Wuhan flu. I notice random smells (a grilled burger, onion rings, floral fragrance?) at varying times of the day. I've mentioned to PC, she remarked that it's most likely nerve damage from Wuhan, as my sense of taste has almost been destroyed by this plaque.

Just thinking others may have been suffering from this needless malody without understanding source. Hope this helps!

Yes, experiencing random or phantom smells is a phenomenon that some people have reported as a symptom of COVID-19. These olfactory disturbances, including the perception of unusual odors (parosmia) or the inability to detect certain smells (anosmia), have been observed in COVID-19 patients.

Loss of smell and taste, known as anosmia and ageusia, respectively, have been recognized as common symptoms of COVID-19. However, the specific nature of the olfactory disturbances can vary from person to person. Some individuals may experience distorted or altered smells, while others may completely lose their sense of smell. Myself included.

I was diagnosed with COVID-19 in January '21 and had symptoms similar to yours. But they eventually got away.
