Well, you see it all depends what kind of discharge it is. Is the amount of the discharge the same every day or it changes according to different stages of your menstrual cycle.
If your discharge is clear or white, and has no bad odor, it is probably normal. For example, I also get a lot of discharge, it may be thick and thin, or slimy but it is always white or clear or slightly yellowish. I get the most discharge around my ovulation and just before I am going to get my period.
Are you experiencing any other symptoms besides the discharge? If the discharge is green or yellow, it indicates some sort of bacterial infection, it could be an STD as well. If the discharge is white but smells bad, and you are experiencing itching or even redness it could be yeast infection.
All of these infections are easily treated if started on time, if not, many of them could progress to something worse and even travel to the upper urinary tract and invade your kidneys.
Sometimes, Chlamydia infection, which is an STD caused by bacteria could even cause infertility and it happens that it doesn’t show any symptoms.
