A close person to me just realized he has schizophrenia. He has all the symptoms and after years of thinking he was imagining it, he finally did some research. I told him he should go get a phyciatric evaluation so as to properly diagnose him, or show him he has something else, but he refuses. My concern is that if he does not get on medications or go to counceling or something, it will get worse, and something bad will happen that is beyond his control.
(NOTE: this person is extremely paranoid and hateful towards doctors, medicine, and therapists. to the point he will refuse to go into a hospital with me when i need it.)
