Hi, it’s a good thing that you have will and motivation to change. I think people should always improve themselves and never give up on trying to be better. Losing weight could be quite a challenge. This goal is usually really underestimated. Have in mind that some people have faster and some have slower metabolisms. Those with slower lose weight slowly and gain weight faster and vice versa.
I think you should just stick to one thing for at least 6 months to actually see some good results. You said you gained 2 pounds but that does not have to be true. It could be that you weighed yourself with full stomach, or you had feces inside of and all of that stuff that can add up more than 2 pounds. So do not use the scale but rather check for weight loss on your clothes like pants.
The best and the fastest way for you to lose weight is to engage in some sort of physical activity. You could run, swim, bike ride, fast walk or play any sports you like, Just make it happen 3 times a week for 1 hour. Then later increase it to 5 days or even every day. Remember that the harder you work the better results will come. Be patient and you will be fine. Keep up the good work.

If you still wanna lose weight then I suggest eating healthy, fruits and veggies, water, milk and juice, NO SODA. And to lost weight, you don't have to run, just exercise 15 to 30 minutes a day and you're good! Go walking with someone, do squats, jumping jacks, modified push ups if you can't do regular ones. Modified push ups are the ones when you have your knees down and push up.

Sounds not good your weight is quite over but don't worry you can reduce this easily. But it will take some time because weight losing not an easy task. Just maintain your diet and exercise both will help you in this. Drink water as much as you can avoid oily food, eat more green vegetables, salad. You will see good results by your self.
