So I am currently 16 years old, I first got my period when i was around 12 years old like every other person. But I've always had weird periods. Like, I wouldn't get my period for 1-2 months, but then I'd get it and it came at me full force but it always lasted like it normally should (a week). But lately it's been weird. Last month I was spotting a lot but I figured that was normal. But then I got my regular period, but it's been longer than a month and it's still here. And it's not a light flow either. It's starting to get on my nerves because I'm losing sleep because of it, and I am starting my first job soon (hopefully) and I don't want to be having problems during that 24/7.

I also currently only live with my dad, my mother isn't going to be around for a while so I don't have a gynecologist yet because I'm nervous to ask my father of all people. I mean, I looked around on this site and saw that some people have problems like this I just wanna know if I should worry or not? I'm not exactly scared, more annoyed I suppose. I am not on birth control or anything like that, I am a virgin, I am a little overweight but it's not extreme. I'm just hoping it's irregular because of me being a teenager, but yeah.

You should really see a doctor or specialists. U might think and read that its normal but u never know. Tell an aunt ot grandma, someone u can trust if u dont trust ur dad like that.
