I cannot say exactly when, how and why I have stopped getting out of the house. In the beginning when I went out, I have felt anxiety and nervousness (especially in subs, buses, crowded places). Everyday I felt how my condition was worsening. Sometimes I have even felt shortness of breath and nausea. I sweat and thought I would die. In which way can therapy help me?
It is quite possible that you are suffering from agoraphobia, fear of open places which also include fear of many people, fear of living the house. There are a lot of medications that could help you with your condition, if not to cure totally, then to subdue the symptoms. I think that a visit to a doctor is a necessary thing, perhaps a combination of psychotherapy and drugs would be the best for you.
