I have had a Gall Bladder operation just a week ago and no matter what I eat I get indigestion and a slight pain in the chest area with belching. Is this something I need to concern myself with? I was told before the operation that they thought I had acid reflux but never like this and not with everything I eat.
Should I ask the doctor for something to take care of this or wait a while longer and see if it passes?
Sincerely,

I just had my gallbladder removed about 1 week ago an have the same thing. The surgeon was not much help but the nurse of my GI was good. She said it is very common and should go away in a few weeks. To eat smaller meals and avoid spicy, acid, and fatty foods for a while. I am taking Protonix to help during this time. She said your body just has to have time to readjust.
I had my gullbladder out in FEB, was also told that the indegidtion would go away. It has been 5 months i still have it with diarerra, has soon as i eat i am running to the restroom. I don't think It will ever go away.
I too had my gallbladder removed last week and I have felt indigestion and pains on my right side and in my back and is so uncomfortable I have an appointment with my doctors this afternoon I even wake up in the morning with it and have found that if I eat the normal food intake I still feel if not worse the pains. I am on just ibuprofen and paracetamol and have finished with the strong painkillers.
