For starters I've been having sex with my boyfriend for 6 months. He had one sexual partner before me but was checked during their relationship (in October). I have had no other partners for 3 years and have obviously been checked since then.
So three days ago my boyfriend and I had sex and it was very sore before hand (I assumed from having sex twice the day before). That night before going to bed I urinated and it was painful and felt as though I was getting a urinary tract or yeast infection. The next day, the pain had worsened and it is now a very sharp burn. I examined myself in the mirror and appear to have multiple little tears/cuts at the bottom of my vagina, a few centimeters above my anus. They are extremely raw to touch and have what appears to be discharge (or maybe pus) around them and i also now have a clumpy white discharge. I went to the doctor and got perscribed a yeast infection pill. Yesterday, I went to the gyno and got tested for herpes, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. He said he was a very straight forward person and would tell me if he THOUGHT it was herpes but he did not think so. His best guess was that it was just multiple cuts from too rough/dry of intercourse and told me to use neosporin until the results return in a week. I am going crazy! Someone please talk to me, tell me something useful so I don't sit here for another 6 days wondering if I have herpes.

Hi hon: When you have a BAD yeast infection, it causes pustules and RAW skin, since the skin in your vaginal area is VERY sensitive. And lets face facts not the driest or cleanest area on your body, things can get BAD really quickly. Because any infection needs time to heal, so if you are in the same predicament, then it wont heal.
So in the meantime, here are the best things to do. Start using cotton underwear, use only unscented LIQUID detergent, use a facial or skin cleanser such as SpectroGel or Physioderm on your perenium area. Do NOT put anything scented near that are, and never use talc. Start eating yogurt with probiotics, and try to air dry as much as possible. Also if you can get a little sun on there - without the neighbours seeing ;-) o.O - that will help the area too. When everything is dry, then put the neosporin on it. Try not to wear pants till it's all gone, as the pants will irritate the area with rubbing etc.
Hope this helps, and good luck too both of you!
