Hi -
My grand-daughter has Uvitis as a part of an autoimmune disease. The opthamologist has decided that they want to treat her with Remicaid but the insurance company is denying the treatment because she is only 14 and this is an off label use for the drug. The treatments would cost approximately $5,000 to $10,000 each. Meanwhile, her vision is rapidly deteriorating.
Does anyone have any suggestions for where we should turn for help? We would like to save as much of her vision as possible as soon as possible.
Thanks -
Teri
