a year ago I was thrown against a hard surface where I hit my right shoulder, and the right side of my head. I have been having pain since. At times the pain is mild, but sometimes it becomes unbearable. I have not seen a doctor just yet because I do not have health insurance at this time. Ibuprofen does not help much anymore. Changing position sometimes help. Do you have any suggestion?

This sounds to me like you have problems with some injured nerve in your shoulder. My opinion is that you have a nerve that connects your arm with your brain stuck somewhere in your shoulder. Have you done any test in the hospital when you were recovering from the shoulder injury? Have you tried to use some pain killers for the pain in your arm? I think that you will need to see your doctor about this because this can not be treated at home. You will most likely need a therapy to get rid of the constant pain in your arm.
