Hello, I would like to ask you something related to AIDS and sex protection. Is condom a 100% protection from AIDS? My son is 16 years old and I assume that it is time for me to explain him some things (although I suspect he might know more than me!). So, I guess I too could use that kind of information. Thanks.
Well, they say that condoms should be 98 – 100% effective in preventing the HIV spread. And those 2% are related more to a human factor than the condom malfunctioning. This means that there are condoms sold in the world which are not as good as needed and of course there are men that do not use them properly. Generally, condom is a great protection, not only against HIV, but for herpes, hepatitis B, gonorrhea etc.
