Do you think it’s healthy I eat a lot of bananas? I run every day and I like bananas in spite of the fact that I know they don’t have any particular vitamins. I also know that they have a high energetic value, and bearing in mind that I have to lose a few pounds it’s not the smartest diet. What are your experiences with eating large quantities of bananas?

All I know is that bananas are recommended when you have to replenish your body’s energy levels in a short time. That’s why tennis players usually have a bite of a banana while they’re have a break. Bananas have a lot of sugar and thus are reserve of energy. I don’t know what happens if you eat lots of bananas if you don’t practice strenuous training, but I guess that you should be careful if you want to lose a few pounds. Maybe you can check how many calories a banana has and thus conclude how much you can eat. Maybe two bananas a day if you run are ok, but more that that would be too much. I also like bananas and have a problem not to eat 2 pounds at a time.

You have to be moderate in everything that you eat,so that goes for bananas to. I agree with jabez, one banana a day is enough, eat two if you must but not more. Especially if you want to lose weight, you must train a lot and eat 5-6 meals a day, one of it can be a banana ;)

Hi dear,

Eat too much banana is not good for health, it may cause a burden on stomach. You should eat maximum 4 to 6 bananas at once time.
Eating too much bananas can not be helpful for losing the weight.

Bananas are good for health but lot of bananas are not good lot of bananas can cause of weight gain. In face excessive use of any thing can cause problem. So always eat bananas in limits.

when you have to renew your body power in a few months. That is why body builder usually have a chew of a bananas while they are have a crack. Apples have a lot of glucose and thus are source of power. I do not know what happens if you eat plenty of bananas if you do not exercise intense exercising, but I think that you should be cautious if you want to reduce a few weight. Maybe you can examine how many calorie consumption a bananas has and thus determine how much you can eat. Maybe two bananas a day if you run are fine, but more that that would be too much.

There are many advantages by eating bananas like there will not be digestion problem,gives energy quickly, good to gain weight,reduces acidity problem and other.
Too much eating will not be good.Sugar content is more and some health problems are coming.If cholesterol, knee pain is more doctor is suggesting not to eat banana.

I am totally agree with you all. Here are really nice and most informative post. I also think that bananas are most important and helpful to stay healthy. These are rich in calcium and that's why provide boost energy of our body.
