I was hoping some of the moms on here could help me with this. My 7 month old twins were preemies and ever since they were in hospital they were on Similac Neosure formula. They now go through can a day – and don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful they progress so well, but the costs are starting to get to us. I’ve seen a generic called Parent’s Choice Neocare at walmart, and for a six pack it’s almost $30 less! We’re thinking of trying it out, but before we get an appointment with a pediatrist after the holidays, is there a need that we make a switch over the time – I’m thinking mixing generic with Similac formula, or is it OK if we just try completely with Neocare formula? We are now pretty low on what we have in stock, so if it’s safe, I’d rather try just switching to Neocare, but I don’t know if there will be any negatives to this?
Hi, I'm not a parent or an expert on the matter but have been doing some research on the matter and can't find any reason why you shouldn't be able to switch brands, I have also checked between the two brands and they both contain all the same items.
I would just buy one to start with to try them on and see if there ok with on it and keep the remainder of your other as a back up just in case.
Hope this is some help to you :-)
