Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex 6 days ago. I am supposed to start my period tomorrow but havent had any of my usual symtoms like cramping and bloating before i start. Is it too early for me to take a pregnancy test since im supposed to start tomorrow. All the sites say its best to take it the day of your missed period or after. But since its only been 6 days i didnt know if its too soon or not? any help?
It's not so much 'best' to take it the day of your missed period or after - it's that it won't work until at least then, and will become more reliable as time passes. Wearing a condom isn't effective except during sex (intercourse). A test isn't effective until the body has built up enough of the 'signal' hormone (the hormone they're testing for, that is unique to pregnant women) is present in sufficient quantities.
Whatever the particular test says is the manufacturer's best advice, but you're right, having sex one minute into your missed period and testing five minutes later may be following the letter of the law, but it's hardly going to be accurate: or put another way, it will accurately state that your body has not yet had time to respond.
