Hello, folks. My brother has been working in mine for almost twenty years. He had some heavy breathing problems and he reported to the doctor. He was diagnosed mesothelioma after testing. I wanted to ask whether mesothelioma was a type of cancer. I will appreciate your efforts in replying to my post.
Hello to you too. Malignant mesothelioma is a type of cancer, I am afraid. It is the tumor of mesothelium tissue – thin tissue that covers pleural, pericardial and peritoneal cavity. It is a rare form of tumor. Pleural mesothelioma is the most common one. It is usually more common for men and for older than 65. It is connected with asbestos exposure. I hope your brother will be all right. If you want to know anything more, feel free to ask me. Bye!
