Hi, I need some honest opinion. I am 55 years old man. My problems with gallbladder have started few months ago but I had pains in stomach last few years. I didn't go to the doctor because the pain would always stop after a while. Last few months I have started to feel very sick. On the ultrasound doctors have found that gallstones have blocked my liver. Tell me is the surgery the answer?
I don't have enough information about your condition so I can’t tell you precise is surgery the answer. I can tell you that it is the best way to remove stones which can cause serious problems if they are blocking bile and other liver enzymes to go to the bowel. Those enzymes then go back to the liver, build up and do damage. Surgery is not too painful and complicated so I would recommend it. But you and your doctors knows the best.
