that is completely false, you can get it on the genitals from sex, which is most common these days

 

I had the same problem, itching head (felt like fruit flies in my hair like a dozen or more), back itching and crotch itch on and off- similar to yeast infection (mostly at night).  I tried everything. I used over the counter bug killer for mites and bed bugs (this is very toxic shampoo, gel and spray from Walgreens), washed my hair every day with this bug killer, washed all bedding, rugs and even sprayed car and house for bugs.  after a week i could not take it anymore. Went to doc.

 i bathed in apple cider vinegar and water rinse, then used organic coconut oil to help with the dry skin and yeast over the counter suppositories for yeast.  

after visiting the doc he asked me my stress level ( i was incensed!) , and honestly i was under tremendous stress especially at the office with a crazy receptionist with an alcohol problem- seems my problems always got worse when i arrived at the office.  So we had a plan. 1) stop using all toxic bug over the counter items, the bugs and eggs would have died in a week from all that I did. 2) drink allot of fresh water with no chlorine or fluoride and eat home cooked meals very fresh food organic non GMO 3) he provided a higher dose of antihistamine so i could sleep- only took one and i was all better 4 ) no alcohol, coffee or tea for a week and honestly symptoms were gone. (doc also suggested i had some underlining child issues- really did not want to discuss with doctor my childhood- but who doesnt have issues from abuseful childhood- maybe the crazy receptionist resurfaced my childhood stress- but i do beleive there were bugs but the stress agrivated it with the toxins too!) 

My best guess is if i did have bugs, flees or whatever the excessive chemicals killed them but then made my problems worse as they were now in my brain and i was probably toxic from these harsh chemicals.  I relaxed, read, did yoga, removed all toxins and went back to normal life and all is fine.

additionally, 

about 20 yrs ago i did contract a parasite from international travel and it felt like bugs crawling under my skin of my legs. (different than what i had now) no one believed me but i found a holistic doc that does parasite testing and I did have a parasite from travel.  the drugs provided are toxic so I opted for the holistic approach instead, it took forever to get rid of them.  So the fear of having this happen again could have caused the additional stress and we just returned from a long international trip and airplanes are so dirty who knows! 

so outline your issues and it could be parasites (there are many bad ones), could be stress, could be chemical toxicity from air, topical or from food or water, either way I pray for your recovery- this can be very hard to handle and when people dont believe you I think that can make it worse.

I've had this problem for a long time and have finally discovered, I think, that for me it is due to an allergic reaction to histamines, particularly from drinking red wine. Often skin reactions can occur to food allergies and other allergens resulting in itchy skin and hives which can manifest themselves in various locations in the body, including hands and probably, for men, the scrotum. If this is your problem it can probably be controlled with over the counter antihistamines like Zyrtec (cetrizine). I take 10mg (one pill) before bed at night and it has stopped my itching cold unless I over indulge a little. You might try it as well as look to identify what you might be allergic to.

I get itching everywhere between my legs and near little my butts too, the thing is that when I try to avoid itching I become a bigger monster, I really feel too frustrated right now, I itched a very little first, then increased itching, after which my balls turned into almost like unrecognizable into dark brown and dark red color, the skin from the balls peeled off and new skin came in, softer skin, but unfortunately the itching started again and I am not able to control it, when ever I feel alot need to itch that is when at house I quickly run into the bathroom and pour on extremely hot water onto the genital area after which only I feel relaxed for say about atleast a hour or so, I dont know whats happening, but I am TIRED, I also apply cream like jergens etc so that it suits the soft skin(also dettol sometimes), but I guess this new skin is giving me a weird time, I think it will again become old and will again get some new skin in case if it continues like this more, I feel so weak when I lose to my urge to scratch like a dog, but if I dont scratch then I get this goose bumps feeling all over my body, its really not good, feel pain...

Really grateful for the tea-tree oil tips. First relief I have had it two years. Found a spray at my chemist's; it stings but the relief from the itching is worth it.

I have read your answer on scabies and I am wondering if I have them as well . I have the itch around the anus and feel that something is sliding in or out . It happens mainly in the evening or at night.
I HAVE NO RASH or any skin discoloration . I have been dealing with this problem for over a year.
Have been tested a million times for parasites and its always negative. I am on my second Infectious Desise Doctor and this one is from NYU.
I also when as far as have a colonascopy and Nothing all clean, The Doctor that I am dealing with now once again has me drinking Albaza although I came back negative for parasites.
Back to the question. Do you think Scabies is the problem ?

I have this too, crawling sensations on my pubic area, I also get this little hive like bumps that itch on my shoulders and being ears and back of scalp. I've given myself 5+ scabies treatments. No help. I've taken a dose of herpes meds (a pill every 3 hours for 7 days) no help. It is contagious, and I caught it from someone I had sex with. Sometimes the hives just appear out of nowhere on my temples. Sporadic itching sensations on legs and arms usually a very small bump at the itch. My house is extremely disinfected as I thought it was mites, I've treated the home and everything inside. This has been going on for 3 years now and only relief I have is Claritin by day Benadryl by night. Someone I know had similar symptoms that started 30+ years ago and his docs chalked it up as nerve damage but his hands and feet are necrotizing and it's disgusting. I don't want this to happen to me and I think this may be a disease doctors haven't discovered yet.

I have them again now but little different. Usually can see or fill black dot under skin but can't do anything with it like pop it like a zit. I have them now and some stuck under skin and turning skin very dry. This time it started last year my feet got so sore the skin cracking. I was told use athlete foot stuff. No itching an still had the dry skin but not that bad. Two weeks ago started under thumb and 2 fingers on both hands. Some times I can pick them up put on paper towel and look at with magnifier. How do I get rid of them. Athletes foot dosen't work and I tried 409 and dried out skin worse.. Years ago when tweaking I had on balls and penis but the 1st kind under skin and couldn't do anything with so thought I was imaginiz. THEY REAL NOW AND 1ST TIME SEARCHING WEB AND REPLY BUT STILL NO ANSWER!

bad enough I'm itchy-crawly all over, bad enough my cats got fleas concurrently, bad enough I actually had the presence of mind to accuse a family member of passing on towel-crabs when he got all in my face claiming I'm imaging c**p, bad enough I ended up quarantining myself in the garage to avoid cat fleas and people "pubic lice", and bad enough I fried my gut with antibiotics for sores after I inadvertently scratched up a few shaving error too much to reshave - but, having still believed "lice", thought I needed to (werewolf hairy) unless I wanted it to spread all over.... anyway, BAD ENOUGH. am SOOOO not dropping the only med that's kept me from curling up in a ball of despair in the garage-based chair (yes chair) I now have to sleep in. not sure anymore if it's to avoid getting reinfected from pets and family on successful treatment, or to avoid infecting THEM.

OBSERVATIONS:

1. DEFINITELY mite, scabies or pseudoscabies (animal-based mite thats not normally into humans as longterm hosts)... the attempt to dig out a female in a "bite" (burrow) and fun of having to squeeze out all her eggs after due to excruciating pain of the near-paralyzing kind when I broke off the top part only and the corpse released its poisons and infectious c**p into the egg sack below pretty much established that. and a delayed rash all over that followed the itchy periods by like a week sealed the deal

2. know fungal infections, this aint it folks. fungi react to nutrition a lot and to some meds/supplements, this however reacted to antiparasite stuff AND specifically *blocking* pathways along skin

3. topical, local: KEROSENE (ugh), benzyl alcoholol/benzalkonium CL to wash off SMALL (non-bred females or males?) black dots from those rows of 'bites' that are actually burrows.... if it resists do NOT pull, youll mess it up

4. topical, barrier against crawlies: DEET in vaseline-type paste insect repellant, just make full circle rings at each ankles-wrists-elbows-kneecaps-thigh-groin (second ring surrounding your private bits)-neck-eyes-mouth-ears-nostrils-hairline AND on top of ALL OPEN SORES, SLATHERED....

5. alternatively, under clothes or when home alone to avoid getting committed as a painted savage gone native type: circles of nail polish w/ benzalkonium (some cheap brands; read labels) will burn out mites on contact even once its dry... hard as nails type expensive clear nail polish WITHOUT benzyl-anything over sores. forever-sticky type nail polish as "traps" (doesn't work all too well). downside: gotta use remover sometimes, and that stuff will MESS YOUR SKIN UP (waaaay worse than kerosene even) 

 

6. wear a cat flea collar or two, as a hairband or around your neck. WISH I WERE KIDDING. the "tetrachlorvinylphos" or whatever ones inhibit new bites by a lot, seems they can only bite through broken skin or attach to existing sores when near a flea collar.

7. put isopropyl alcohol into a spray bottle and hose yourself down & wipe off with paper towels whenever feeling crawly and just in general... seems to work better than soap, doesn't irritate much

8. risk wiping unbroken skin with kerosene for much higher kill counts.

9. do NOT apply kero or benzalkonium to privates - instant near death experience, pain like no other. you'll likely black out for a couple hours.

10. shave out neck hairs and around ears, else they'll bypass em btw. and this c**p seems to be able to "ride" long hair to preselected destinations somehow.

11. permethrin cant do squat. cant even disinfect clothes. EVERYTHING is long since immune to it.

12. to decontaminate clothes from problem areas, prewash em in kerosene (hairbands and bandanas in my case). don't smoke around it lol. do not wear anything out of your washer that has any sort of small detritus left on the inside, it may or may not be dead, but it sure as heck causes the itchies better n ever (dead bugs can do that - while I think this c**p is awful, a single _dead_ flea found somehow in a jeans pocket caused allergy hell for me)

13. avoid docs they're clueless AND even if they actually do read up and don't try to give you psychiatric stuff: CDC tells them to "hold back effective treatment (ivermectin) to avoid creating resistant strains" (nevermind the rate of latin american immigration, and they pop ivermectin like candy for any and all itches and stomach issues just in case; in any case, 50% of all valuable hoofed animals get treated with it monthly in USA)

14. wait for your order from veterinary pharmacy to arrive... should come in tomorrow or next week for me:

a) HORSE IVERMECTIN (same thing as human, sometimes made by bigger brand name pharmaceutical companies not like the India generic c**p you get for 100's from human pharmacies..., no prescription needed, $3 or so for 5-10 doses depending on your weight.... dose as per instructions for horse weight, it's the same for humans. medication itself is pretty darn safe, Bill and Melinda Gates are pretty much dosing every person in africa with it for free annually... horse variety comes in ORAL syringe for shoving down a horses throat, don't shoot it lol just swallow needed fraction of paste - syringe generally contains enough for 1250 pounds of mammal - horse, human, whatever)

and just in case:

b) cheap veterinary high-permethrin shampoo or concentrate (for making high% creams out of basic lotion)

c) sulfur soap, the third world scabies solution.

PS for direct application stuff: wide margin around groin and eyes, btw, with EVERYTHING that works - it all coincidentally also burns like a near death experience.

PPS screw gov't and cdc for acting all high and mighty and refusing to admit america is overrun with basic third world diseases they consider eradicated or superrare or smthn... most of the resto f the world, a single $2 pill from any pharmacist wouldve had your issues done and over with on day 3 of symptoms when you finally decided to go and ask somebody

Go to a Dermatologist and ask for a biopsy of the area, you are asking to be checked for

l have the same problem and the itch turns into an excruciating pain with just the slightest of scratches.l have oversize foreskin and the creases in my scrotum are deep. this problem is consuming me and l can see no end, sex with my girl friend is completely out of the question and l cant tell her other wise she will think it is an std, l can see how people can do them selves harm when it is so over powering, l just hope it gets better soon,

I'm suffering with the same thing and I have just come back from my second dermatologist visit. She couldn't find anything and said it's not scabies or lice. I used to work at a vet clinic and I remember a couple coming in saying they had these issues along with their dogs and cats itching etc... none of the vets knew what it was (and to be honest the vets only ever follow the procedures set out by the vet council so none of them would think outside the box. The attitude is if frontline didn't work.. well sorry... can't help). The couple returned a few weeks later and spoke to the vet and said they had to dip their animals (please get dips for cats from the vet because most dips will kill a cat, borax, tea tree oil and all sorts of other recommended things are highly toxic to cats so don't use them). They also said they had to brush the pets for 3 weeks everyday and the problem cleared up. The vet just said 'well done on curing it' and walked off. I remember thinking... I seriously do not want to catch that! now... 5 years later me and my cats are suffering big time. I realized today after my dermo visit that dr's don't know that scabies can come in a few forms.... if you mention scabies any dr will think of sarcoptic mites - the burrowing mites that leave tunnels and starts between the fingers. There is notoedric mites that generally affect the head and also infect the forelegs, paws and genitalia. Urban carnivores has a good article showing how this mite is affecting bobcats and is responsible for bears losing their hair. These mites infect anything - rodents, cats, dogs... humans... Mites also leave the skin prone to bacterial infections and bacteria and fungus is often present at the same time. I find my skin on my hands gets very dry and cracks so last week I smothered my hands in bactroban before getting into bed - in the morning the dry cracking had almost healed. I put medaspore (antifungal clotrimazole cream 10mg) on the next day and for 3 days it's been much better... I can feel it starting again but fungus on the skin needs to grow out so you have to keep up fungal treatments for 3 weeks after symptoms go. I will do this for 3 months just to be sure. 2 nights ago I mixed a bit of bactroban (the ointment not the cream) with water to make it runny and used a Q-tip to smear it directly on my scalp - hardly any itching on my scalp but I can still feel it on my body. I have also tried mixing a bit of bactroban with my body lotion and applying that - it helps a lot. Later this week I will be taking my cats to the vet out of town, he works with large animals and is brilliant... One vet told me to put my cat down because she had brain damage (cat wasn't moving and went blind overnight)... I took her to see the good vet and it was a thiamine deficiency.. one jab later.. cat back to normal. These dr's are 'professionals' so they will bluff and bull their way through things they aren't aware of. I will post back here after I've seen that other vet... pretty damn sure it's notoedric mites

I have complained about this condition so many times that my doctors think I am crazy. They refuse to examine me anymore and suggests that I see a exterminator. I can't date, because the women I get close always complain of something biting them, and I have pretty much withdrawn from my social circles. I also see small bugs flying out of my hair and they always seem to take flight at inopportune times, such as job interviews or when I'm with people in well-lit areas such as a dinner table. 

I often wonder if doctors know what this is and are afraid to tell us that there is no cure for it.
