Hi people! I have had a really itchy back ( i would say severe) which thankfully, only occurs wheni lie on my back. It itches so bad that i cannot do anything. I have seen a doctor and we have run neumerous tests which all come back fine. It's been going on for about 10 months. The doctor recommended that i see a dermatologist. I saw one and he said i was suffering from physical demographism:-) Prescribed some pills, which unfortunately, have not been that helpful. Any ideas??? Pleeeease. Has anyone suffered from this before?
Some say when in doubt start from square one.
Try a change of shampoo's, lotions, soaps, Laudry soap, even clothing if its a certain type you wear.
Think when did it start happening, what age, and where? What where you doing when it started?
Could it be from food, enviorment, clothing, or items you use on a dailey bases or a change in your diet or life.
Have you tried Alternitive or natrual remedies, try locating a specialist who uses those types of methods. You would be surprised what a natrual remedy can do when modern pills or drugs wont help.
Maybe it has somethign to do with the nerves in your back. Since you are putting pressure on your back causes it to flare up. So that might a something to help rule out as well.
Good luck in your search

Yea, I agree with what familychick said. I think it is your nerves also. Try getting a good back rub to eliminate some of the itchiness. Maybe you have nerve damage?? Idk have u ever been in an accident b4? Hope this post helps :-)
