I feel weird asking but I have to because I'm sure my husband will freak out and everyone else will think I'm preggo!! I have a 13 month old and I've had the mirena Iud for 1 year!! Lately I've been getting my periods every 15 days and they last about 7 days :( I've also noticed that sometimes after sex I spot a bit. After I got the IUD inserted I've also had movements in my stomach!!! I know it's weird but I swear I think I'm pregnant every month lol. I'm just starting to get annoyed!!! Anyone have similar symptoms with the mirena?
omg! i thought i was the only one!!! i thought i was going crazy because my stomach was moving! and the bleeding also..but instead of it being light it is now dark and wont stop %-) it has been this was for the past 2 weeks now and im going crazy not know what to do!!
i have mirena for 10 mths now...and this is crazy!!!im feeling the same thing too...but now im starting to feel loots of pressure on the back of my head...cant sleep during the night... im still having my periods every month they didnt stop...and i have this fishy odor around the time that im goin to start my periods...also im gaining weight...:(...

I feel the movements too! very annoying, and the past few months I've started bleeding after intercourse (not vigorous or rough) and even after external masturbation.
I'm moody all the time and my skin is bad, I've also gained like 30 pounds that wont come off!!!
I am considering having it removed and asking my husband to get a vasectomy...
I went so far as to borrow my friend's portable doppler, and when I could hear the movement I was feeling, I scheduled an ultrasound and pregnancy test. I was starting to worry that I was going to be one of those women on the I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant show. Nothing showed up on the ultrasound, and the test was negative, but the movement continued for awhile. Now it's not as bad, but my stomach is still noisier than it used to be. I also have zero sex drive, anger issues, the occasional watery discharge and urinary incontinence that I've now read on so many other Mirena blogs. I'm having it removed and having Essure and endometrial ablasion done. Bye bye hormones!
Hello Hello. I've had the same symptoms and had Mirena for about 5 months. The longest i've stayed without spotting is about a week or so. Im so sick of wearing the pads all the time.i've changed my underwears (from strings to "big mama's underwear)!! and everytime that im not spotting and i have sex, the spotting comes back again. The mood swings, it's another story. I thought i was going crazy, i would go off on my Husband, coworkers, friends...you name it! i am starting to think getting rid of Mirena because besides not being pregnant, there is so much going on that i am not happy with. It supposed to prevent you to get pregnant but peacefully! The movements in my stomach is just anoying! how about constipation and the luck of sleep? im just fed up really. I need to make an appointment with my doctor soon so we can find a solution.
Hello I have the same exact symtoms as you I have had the iud for a little over two years and a couple months ago I started feeling pregnancy symtoms so I took a hpt but it come out negative and now for what seems like every day I feel like fluttering movements in my stomach like I did when I was pregnant with my son, at first when I got the iud inserted I did not get my period for a year then started getting them every 29- 30 days but very lightly and for two to three days and now they are every 15 days and lasting like 4 days but I also spot after intercourse?? Should I be concerned??
