I have had a cyst for about 3 months now. when i went to the dermatologist, they couldnt inject anything because it had already popped, which would lead the steroid to further infect my skin. so they drained it, and told me the root came out. but here i am a month and a half later and it has stayed about the same size, about dime sized, on my left cheek under my cheekbone. its extremely red, and drains occasionally. its very painful on one side. it alternates between being squishy and being tough. and there is now a small purple dot right in the center of the cyst, almost the color of a bruise. but it just sits there and looks like something is stuck in my cyst, but i know that is not the case. so i guess im wondering why the purple dot is there, and why is my cyst not going away even though it seems as though it has drained enough?

Cysts can take a very long time to go away so bear that in mind--however, it does seem like it has been sticking around for a really long time. Have oyu checked with a doctor about it at all? I mean, recently?
