I've been looking into methods of cleaning the toxins out of my liver. I was heavy drinker, smoker and recreational drug user for many years, not to mention all the junkfood and fatty meats I've eaten. So in addition to kicking some nasty health habits, I decided it a good idea to clean the existing 'stuff' out of my liver. I'm about average weight and exercise (kung-fu practice and jogging) pretty regularly (though not during the fast, of course).

Though I lack a juicer, I've found an organic fruit juice blend that is pretty good. It is however, pasteurized and reconstituted from concentrate and puree. All the active enzymes are likely destroyed and I'm pretty much just drinking it for the natural sugars to keep me ticking. I'll probably stop by the juice bar on occasion. I'm also taking a good multivitamin-mineral suppliment , lots of vitamin C, and "Liv-A-Fix" to enhance my liver function. Lots of water as well.

Today is day one and I'm planning on doing this for 3-4 days. Some people recommend up to five, but I'm going to take it easy on myself this first time around. If anyone has suggestions or comments, feel free to post. I'll check in and give updates from time to time.
