I had an abortion 4 days ago now, on October 29th. There was a little bit of bleeding as I left the clinic, and very mild cramping. Overall, it was extremely easy and it truly didn't hurt. Suddenly, yesterday, the 31st of October, the bleeding actually became like a normal period, no heavier, and I experienced very painful and annoying back pain. I don't know if this really has anything to do with it, because I was walking around with my little brothers and sisters trick-or-treating, but when I finally got back inside, I just couldn't get warm. I could feel a pounding in my head, and I couldn't stop shivering for the life of me. My fiance was very, very worried. I took some aspirin, a hot bath, and he gave me a massage with Icy-Hot before I finally fell asleep. My back pain is gone at the moment, and it's the following morning.

Another thing you should know is that on the 30th, I started the patch. Could this be just very annoying side-effects, or should I go to the hospital? I took my temperature last night, and it was 100.5, but I had just gotten out of the hottest bath of my life, and I feel much better now.

Any ideas?
I also had a very smooth experience with my abortion. Felt only minimal cramping and spotting from the time I left the clinic until I got home. About 2 hours after my procedure, my back began hurting extremely bad. I had come home and been doing things around the house as I felt ok after the surgery. But when the back pain started I laid down and made a point of taking it easy for the rest of the evening. I had some back pain on and off for the next two weeks but it is completely gone now. I think this is a normal part of recovery and just a sign that you need to take it easy on your body as it heals.:-)
