So I decided to stop ignoring my poor cardiovascular health and do my first 2k with my nike+ system.
I did not have the shoe, and put the sensor in a plastic bag folded and tucked between the laces and tongue. Hopefully that did not mess up my calibration too much.
It was a 22 minute jog/walk at 10'22"/km - I wasn't able to run the whole way but tomorrow I will be buying proper running shoes, pants and a top suitable for a Canadian winter for jogging.
I am glad there's a place like this to report this info and hopefully get feedback. So thanks in advance to those who reply.
