I am so glad I found this site. I went in 4 days ago in extreme pain and they found a 6mm stone on the left side. They put in a stent and are going to do the EWSL treatment in about a week. I am having pain still but nothing like 4 days ago. I realize now after reading all of this that it is probably the stent causing my discomfort and not the stone. I am also concerned about having the stent removed but reading these hints have helped calm me down. Iave had three kids so I'm hoping it's not as bad as labor. Atleast it sounds like it's a very quick procedure. I will post again after the EWSL and again after the stent removal. Wish me luck!!
I am glad that you were able to get to a doctor so quickly to take care of your kidney stone. They can be very painful as you've posted and a stent is a good way to fix it. I am glad as well to hear that the forums work well for you! I just joined so I am hoping to find some help here as well as helping other people out. I really look forward to hearing what your experiences are.
hey let me tell u that after labour pain,renal colics and ulcer pain r next in severity!!! so u have strong guts ;-)..
to tolerated that pain well and now the surgery,great going..nywz stent wont trouble you much,its a small operration you will be fine soon,just keep drinking lots and lots of water
