Hello .. I am very embarrassed to talk about this, but I need some answers. I am 15 years old and my bra size is 36 D. I have very large areolas for my size. They are about the size of the bottom of a pop can .. I've been teased about my large areolas and all I would ever want is to have normal-sized ones. What can I do? Is there any cream or pills I can buy to fix this? Any correction/reconstruction surgery? If so, how much? I know many people would just tell me to accept my body, but I can't. I want to fix this problem. Please help!! Thank you.

Sincerely,
Leanne

I understand at your age anything that makes you feel "different" makes you a target. I can tell you it doesn't matter what's different....for you it just happens to be your areolas. All I can say is as you age being different isn't so hard. There are many, many men who will love what you have. Please don't "change" what's natural for you. Not being commonplace is a good thing. You don't have to accept the current cultural definition of what's attractive because it changes. 20 -30 years ago, the culture like much "bigger" women and large areola...just look at old Playboy magazines. Things change.

dont listen to that other person. if YOU are not ok with your nipples or breasts and it is affecting the way you feel about yourself than yes there are surgerys that can help. its areola reduction surgery (just google it). its not very expensive (1000 bucks usually) and takes a couple of days to heal. i dont know of any creams to help that type of thing. good luck! :-)

Hello, I am proud to say I am a beautiful 21 year old woman who once was in your shoes. I was 15, size D boobs and big aerolas. God, being that age sucked. So I just found bras that covered it up and made them look okay..which was hard to do finding a bra to contain my nips! ANYWAY

Now that I survived middle school and high school and college with the same ol' boobs I grew up with, I love them and believe it or not..MEN love them. Now don't go around showin' everybody your hoo-haa's..But seriously. Its nothing to be ashamed of. And those large boobs of yours have a purpose. They will nurture your children.

Don't get surgery. But i'm tellin you, you'll grow out of it and you'll realize how stupid kids can be. They just look for reasons to pick on people. You'll grow older, they'll grow older..and you'll have some big ol' knockers to knock theyre socks off! I shouldnt be saying that to a 15 year old but whatever.

LOVE yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and f**k everyone else.

Paigebella is dead wrong. First of all, many men find large boobs with large areolas a huge turn-on. Second, as others have correctly pointed out, love who you are and others will do the same. High school is all about "fitting in". Growing up is about being who you are! Be who you are and one day you will realize hw lucky you are to have been blessed with such nice ones!

Just in case you need another man's opinion, I think large areolas are incredibly exciting, and they are beautiful. To me they are a lovely indication of "femininity". I wish all women had them. Please don't change them!

Hi Leann--

High school is a tough time, particularly for girls who develop "woman bodies" while they are just developing girl hearts and minds. Other kids can be cruel, particularly when SECRETLY they are envious about your body.

If you were to poll men on the street, I would assure you 60% or more would vote 36D to be a fabulous breast size. I know it's awkward as a teen, but wait a few years, and you'll find men adore your body, and women are envious of your big ones. I hope this helps.

I don't know if anyone will read this because the orignal post is old, but I wanted to say a few things. I'm a 23 year old woman with 36 D breasts and areolas 3 inches in diameter. Out of the 6 men who have seen my breasts only one thought my areolas were really big, but he didn't outright tell me they were bad. One man actually prefered larger ones. No one else said anything bad or seemed to care either way. I have them and I can't do anything about them. All I can do is accept what I have and be okay with them because, as it turns out, some men prefer them large. Chances are, you won't run into a guy who really cares how big they are. They just want to see your breasts and if he genuninley likes you, he won't care how big they are. Also, the one man who said they are very feminine is right. Larger areolas are incredibly feminine and that's something that makes me happy.

I have to agree that lager Areolas are more feminine. As 32 year old man i have always viewed small areolas as something men have. There are certain features that a considered womanly and areolas are one of them.

Paigebella you are very shallow...Leanne is getting teased about her large areolas probably from jealous individuals. Do not encourage a 15 year old to do anything to herself which is completely natural. Leanne, it is perfectly natural to have large areolas, in my opinion it makes the female breasts look alot more femine with large areolas rather than those with small areolas because males have small areolas so no disrespect to the ladies that have small areolas, its just my personal opinion.

My areolas are huge, a bit over 4 inches across, so you're not alone. I'm a 34dd and fairly petite. The only thing that bothers me about my areolas is that they show when I wear certain bras and bikinis. But the guys I've been with are very turned on by them. So don't be embarrassed or feel like you're not normal because you have large areolas. We're not all supposed to be the same!
