for the past 8 months or so i have had a lump in my left underarm. it started off about the sie of a pea and over the months, grew significantly. it has now moved further into my armpit. it has always been sore to the toch. it is quite firm. im frightened it is cancer. i am also frightened that it may be an ingrown hair which has turned septic. i have heard stories of similar lumps bursting and people dieing of blood poisoning.
i saw the doctor, he said it was an ingrown hair and gave me ointment to use which hasnt helped. he didnt scan or anything. im so terrified.

So, go to another doctor.... or return to the first doctor and tell him that nothing has helped.
