NOTE- I had to fight my OBGYN not to do a complete hysterectomy - I didn't need it, want to pay for it, take 3 weeks off, and mostly give up my uterus, forcing me into early menopause. I felt that her approach was like using a fire hose to put out a candle.
Still, when I showed up at the hospital, she'd ordered a hysterectomy!
So I'm here to warn you folks: READ THE PAPERWORK before signing anything at the hospital; don't just assume they got it right, and stand your ground for what you want. A quick call to the Dr's office got the procedure revised.
Since then, the bloating is reduced so I look 2 mos pregnant vs. 4 ;) maybe it's just too many carbs LOL... I strangely still get sharp, shooting pains on the left side even though the ovary/cyst are gone. Not nearly as bad as before, though. The middle abdominal pain that was so intense I was walking stooped over was internal bleeding from the cyst (sorry to be gross) so that immediately vanished after surgery.
I still have ridiculously heavy periods and cramps, but last month I tried a combination of Lysteda 650 mg (ask your OBGYN for an Rx) and holistic/herbal Oona (from Whole Foods)...I must say it was the lightest, easiest period in years. Still bad, but much improved.
I hope this helps someone!
Get checked for parasites. Get a second opinions if it comes out negative because my test came out negative and I had a dead tape worm that came out of me after going on a anti- fungal diet.
An ultrasound won't usually show that you have gall bladder problems which make you look like you don't know what your talking about. You need to ask for the dye test which will show what an ultra sound won't. Yes, gall bladder problems can appear on the left side because of the domino effect. On account of your gall bladder not functioning correctly, your liver will get overworked to compensate, then your pancreas. Don't rule having gall bladder problems you get stabbing pains on your left side. The only doctor who believed me after I went to 4 doctors, including a surgeon who saw the dye test results, and didn't believe it was my gall bladder - he helped me with homeopathic pills starting from pancreas to backtrack towards my gall bladder. I was fine after a month!!! I feel better but my gall bladder isn't totally fine but I haven't had problems.
CORRECTION: The only one who listened to me and helped me was a CHIROPRACTOR! He was the one that gave me homeopathic pills. All I was trying to do was to get help to avoid surgery which usually comes when you get very severe pain. I thought I was doing the right thing to nip it in the bud but doctors didn't listen to me, but my chiropractor did.
Have you been checked for a blood clot in your portal vein? My daughter had one and she was unwell for over 3 months before she was finally diagnosed in a critical condition? You can have a blood test done to see if you have the underlying condition that causes blood blood clots.
